Great place. Awesome vibe that I haven't seen anywhere else. The food is great and the conversation/atmosphere keeps you there. I even heard the manager hosts shows inside the cafe which are very entertaining.

There aren’t any places that can compare to iStar Coffee! The coffee is on point, the service amazing and the place is clean. All of that pales in comparison to the amazing crepes. These should be classified as deadly weapons of deliciousness! I haven’t had crepes this good since I was in France!! They’re huge, well cooked, and most all- DELIGHTFUL!
Tl;dr- stop going to that chain coffee shop and come here for good coffee, great prices, and amazing food!

Been here more than once. Male owner is alot more attentive and food is better when prepped by him than female worker. Crepes and breakfast sandwiches pretty good.

Nice grub joint with free wifi. You can get an introductory lesson on Amharic script from the owner. Try to come on a consistent day though.

I have spent a lot of time at iStar Coffee. I often come to get a latte, crepe (spinach, avocado, egg, and cheese, to be specific. . . .yum) and spend some time doing work at one of the many clean, large tables. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind. I highly recommend this spot for everything. . .coffee, food, environment, and staff!

I heard about their breakfast sandwich and I wanted to try it. It was delicious and reasonable price. As a matter of fact you can say it is way cheaper than their competitors. Honestly I am not going to Starbucks any more. They have a very good coffee which makes every drink taste right. I recommend this coffee shop to everyone.

Istar coffee is one of the best coffee shop in silver spring! They have delicious coffee, food (breakfast) is made from scratch, it is perfect place to study or relax and their price is very reasonable!! definitely, I do recommend istar coffee.
