Panera Bread

Basic Panera food available. Nothing special at this location except the lack of cleaning! This location since the day it opened has been plagued with a lack of cleaning. Tables, floors, food preparation area. I typically do not go to this location and drive to the Derby store due to this. For a good example here is a picture from this weekend of their ovens. Have to wonder when they might have been cleaned last. Remember your food is being cooked in these!!

Food and selection is good, which is what keeps me coming back. They need to work on their attention to detail. I usually order take-out and dislike mayo so I sub for mustard. I understand mistakes happen but my turkey sandwich keeps coming with mayo despite my customization via the app. It was happening almost all the time and I had to stop ordering my favorite. Decided to try again today and the same story. At least it wasn’t loaded this time so I scrapped it off.

This is the worst Panera I’ve ever been to. The staff is completely incompetent, especially with the drive through. I’ve had to wait so long every single time I’ve gone through. I had to wait in a parking space for over 20 minutes for one grilled cheese! The last time I went there, they took my order at the speaker, forgot my order so I had to order again at the window, and while I was waiting in a parking space again, a worker came out to my car and said “You still didn’t get your food?” Then asked for my order a third time. I’m typically super patient with people because I understand being busy at work but it’s never busy here!

Beautiful building and landscaping, but the service is horrible. I went through the drive thru, placed my order for 2 sandwiches and was told to park in one of the spaces designated to wait for the food. As I was waiting I started watching an episode of "The Office" and lost track of time. When the episode ended, I realized that I had been waiting for over half an hour. When I pulled back to the window, I was told that the "kitchen was backed up" and it would be a bit longer. I ended up having to cancel my order and get a refund. They definitely need new management.

If there was zero stars, I would have given that score. After waiting over 20 minutes for an uncomplicated order, I asked for my money back. There began another wait while all available staff tried to figure out what to do. After 10 minutes my partner reentered the restaurant, clearly having a low blood sugar and I left. Out $29 and beyond angry with the lack of organization, management and caring. Never again.

Terrible service!! Indian girl at window who was talking so soft I couldn't hear her. I kept asking her to please talk louder but she didn't or there was something wrong with the intercom. Then she asked me to pull up and it took another 25 minutes to fill my order. I will never come to this place again!

Update : new location I like the new building and layout , but the staff is worse than at the old location . Management needs to get a handle on this . There is a lot of potential for this place as the coffee and atmosphere is good . It almost seems like they’re trying to staff up exclusively will special needs people . I think it’s nice to do , but there has to be a better mix of folks. Maybe corporate has mandated this and it’s out of managements hands . Old location The wait times are consistently long . I only ever get a cup of coffee and typically wait 15 minutes on line. I counted 15 people behind the counter today , but only one cashier taking orders ( and serving them as well ) . It’s a circus there and in need of a management overhaul . It’s a shame too , because I really do like the coffee .
