Quite surprised and delighted by the quality and price of sashimi so close to the tourist hub that is Pike Place. Urara has surreal sushi offerings at a great price. Got the chirashi. For those who don't know, imagine a gigantic bowl of sushi rice piled high with pieces of sashimi. The cuts of fish from the chef were gigantic and high quality. The salmon melted in my mouth. The albacore and yellowtail were delightful and lacked the fishy aftertaste you'd find from cheaper cuts. We went at the end of the day before they closed. Thankfully, we had the full attention of the chef and staff. It's not Michelin star grade sushi by any means, but it's close in quality. It's even better in price. If I could come back tomorrow I would. Don't let the other reviews fool you - if you want some absolutely delicious and generous sashimi, this is the place to go.

This place is small but amazing! The soups are 5 star as is the sushi. I love dragon rolls and this is the place with the best dragon roll I’ve had

My husband ordered the Seattle roll and I got albacore tuna nigiri and they were both amazing. Some of th best sushi we've had here. Both were melt in your mouth soft and we will definitely be coming back!

Great little mom and pop! My husband and I were just walking by and decided to give it a shot. This may be one of the best sushi experiences we've had. Everything was super fresh. The rice even had delicious sweet hint to it. Definitely worth it.

Definitely a really good sushi spot right in the heart of Seattle/Pike Place Market. 10/10 would recommend. I personally don't eat salmon cause of allergies - so my fiance is the one eating the rolls which have salmon in it (Seattle Roll / Sake Sashimi) (Sashimi) The one thing i can say with confidence is that the sashimi pieces are of generous portions compared to many other sushi places I have gone to before. I think this is what the standard of Sashimi should be vs. having very thin slices of fish. Not to mention, watching my fiance eat the two pieces, I could tell that the sashimi just melts in your mouth. If you're a fan of having sashimi, definitely get your pieces here (Seaweed Salad) REFRESHING. out of the seaweed salad dishes i've had in the area, Urara has a really good seaweed salad dish. its the right amount of seasoning and sesame seeds in the dish and not to mention on a really hot Seattle day, it's a way to cool down. (Kani Roll) Has crab in (kani means crab in Japanese) , however I did not eat this roll. By the looks of it though it appeared to have a mixture of the imitation crab and real crab. It;s topped off with masago, mayo. (Spicy Tuna Roll) My personal favorite and Urara makes this roll very very well done! Just the right amount of spice in the Tuna, avocado, cucumber, topped with a spicy mayo. Usually most sushi places have more mayo than spice which isn't my favorite, but urara does a really well job balancing the spicy and the mayo together so that it doesnt tip the scale in one direction. The waitress has recently realized that my fiance and I go in there more often than not, but we usually seat ourselves in the same spot at the sushi bar. Her and the sushi chef are absolutely wonderful and friendly. It's a quaint little location but those are the best kind in my opinion.

It's good. Portion of sushi rolls is a little small. I'm used to 6-8 pieces depending the roll/price. I received 5. My noodles took a while. My 2 friends were done eating before I got my noodles. Rolls came fast. Overall I would come back.
