Flipside

We stopped off at Seaton on the way down to Cornwall and we stayed at the premier inn opposite this restaurant so thought we would give it a go. We were told there was going to be a wait for our food but that we could take a seat and order drinks. The waiter managed to get us in early with our food orders which was really kind, so very pleased with the service. The burgers were okay, we really wanted to love them but they weren’t that full of flavour. However, the frickles (fried pickles with blue cheese) were out of this world!

This looks place serves great food at reasonable prices and is full of locals who have the foresight to book. If you’re in town and looking for a decent burger, this is it. Genuinely one of the best burgers I’ve had. The farmhouse, which contains a burger patty, a fried chicken steak and a pile of pulled pork is just sensational. Pop your head in and they might be able to fit you in. But if not… book for tomorrow night. It’s worth it.

Only live in Lyme so this is sort of local. Thought we would support some businesses in Seaton as well. The Burger was ok, same price inside as was for the takeaway which was a pleasant surprise as usually more expensive. Nice selection of drinks and price for food wasn't too bad but it doesn't come with anything not even a side salad just a sorry looking burger on a plate, looks quite sad and depressing, although you can order and pay for sides of you wish. Wouldn't say it was a warm welcome in fact quite cold and clinical when being served. All in all an ok dinner but could do better especially in service.

A proper burger place with amazing food and a good selection of local beers. The burgers were delicious and great quality meat. A selection of 'theme' burgers of which the Pizza burger was amazing and also create your own so you can have it just the way you like it. Dirty fries were immense... I couldn't fault the place! Will be back. Make sure you book as he's is always booked out.
