Chart House

Chose Chart House for 2nd best steak rating in Savannah. Ruth's Chris was 1st but wanted to try a new place Steaks were cooked to the perfect medium rare. Could have been a little better if placed at a better table. Asked on the reservation site if this was our first visit (checked yes) but we were seated (early dining) on the bottom floor (3 floors) next to the bathroom. Expensive meal would have been enhanced by a river view.

Very nice place that is casual but still fancy enough to dress up.. the ambiance is subdued but nicely appointed.. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about everything we asked for.. and even could accommodate a couple of extra requests. I ordered the ny strip, and it was tastefully seasoned and cooked to order.. Prices were also very reasonable.

This was a double birthday celebration dinner for my Wife and Daughter. Made the reservation weeks prior. The building is beautiful, so is the immediate area. I was not impressed with the restaurant's HVAC. It was uncomfortably hot and the AC was on high (I was told). Food was excellent, cheesy menu with our names and date was tacky. It's worth taking a chance on again.

We had the pleasure of dining at this gem on our waiter’s first night. He was so great, we didn’t even know!! From the host to the check, the service was great. Their fresh bread and butter is delectable, and you’ll probably want another round, lol. The crab cake was one of the best I’ve ever had, so much crabby deliciousness. For our entrees we had the stuffed shrimp- good! And the prime rib- he said it was so good and cooked perfectly. We ended the night on a sweet note with coffee and the hot lava cake. Our food and service were excellent.

We had a reservation at Chart House last Friday for a Bachelorette trip celebration! We came from Virginia and had never dined here before so we weren’t sure what to expect. We were SO pleasantly surprised by this experience! Our server was Gerardo and he was AMAZING! I must say he’s the best server I think I’ve ever had. He was so informative about the menu and provided such great suggestions - he recommended the lemon herb crusted salmon and it was phenomenal. Our high maintenance bride had many requests and he accomplished them all with perfect ease. :) Everyone loved their food, the atmosphere was amazing and Gerardo was AWESOME! 10/10 experience and service!

While visiting the Chart House for our 5th wedding Anniversary at 9:00pm on July 8th. We were greeted by the hostess. Who told us we were able to sit at the table by the bar, or at the bar only. We decided to sit at the table by the bar. After about 10 minutes the bartender came from behind the bar and ask if we needed anything. We express our concerns about the seating arrangements that were provided to us. We were denied seating at a regular table by the hostess. However, the bartender was very understanding and allowed us to sit at a regular table other than the bar. We then ask the hostess when will a waiter come to our table and she told us somebody will be with us. As, we started to walk away we noticed the menu’s on the table by the hostess. So, we grabbed our own menu’s because the hostess failed to give them to us when we walked in. We were really upset and contemplated on leaving the restaurant because of the poor customer service we were receiving. We decided to stay and we sat down at our table and was greeted by a waitress 5 minutes later. Our waitress Thaddeus was very professional and throughout the night the bartender came and checked on us to make sure our anniversary was well celebrated. She even provided us with an anniversary dessert to make our night extra special. Food was 10/10. I had shrimp pasta, and my wife had the salmon. The spinach & artichoke dip was to die for! I didn’t want to get the lava cake and ice cream because I felt rushed by the hostess so I got it to go. Like this post if you want to know more information about our night. Thank you.

I haven’t even left the table and felt the need to express what an absolute wonderful experience this whole meal and atmosphere was. We came to celebrate my grandparents and Steven Smith worked with us. He was attentive, quick and just overall the most amazing host for an evening. I would highly recommend anyone try this restaurant. Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere and impeccably cooked meals! We will be back!
