Incredible! One of the best sushi places I’ve ever been- selection and quality is outstanding. Service was so friendly and helpful and even brought us variations of uni without asking which thought was a beautiful touch! Thank you!!! Had tuna sashimi selection, uni sushi, miso soup, wakame salad, cucumber and shrimp salad, and T-Dragon roll. Can’t fault a thing! Delicious, not over flavoured or over salted.

The salmon and tuna were standouts here. All the fried dishes (spicy popcorn chicken, the mushroom fries, and the katsu with chicken) were pretty mediocre. Heavy, not good meat. The menu was confusing, we wanted chicken katsu but misread and got a chicken egg over rice dish instead. Luckily, the staff was accommodating of our mistake and swapped out the dish.

Amazing gem in Mission! Hard to impress and stay competitive when it comes to a sushi and ramen restaurant in San Francisco. However, Kazan delivers: super fresh and large selection of fish, generous sizes which are still easily consumable in one bite when it comes to nigiri, incl. Suzuki, umimasu, hamachi toro, many seasonal fishes, types of uni (local from Santa Barbara and from Hokkaido), Hokkaido hotate to die for with hints of Yuzu sauce... Japanese Drafts and Dry Sake... Amazing super friendly and fast service! Wow! Highly recommend!

Delicious kitsune udon and omakase nigiri. The restaurant itself is really dark and the only source of light is the outside light. The sushi itself is more sashimi than nigiri because the fish cut size is pretty massive compare to the rice size. Not only that there is ginger missing with nigiri which is needed for palate cleanser after each piece.
