I come here regularly for ice cream but the seasonal egg nog is amazing. I’m not usually an egg nog person but Swensens does it very well and fresh tasting! Just let it defrost for about an hour and serve. #eggnog #seasonal

Finally visited for the first time a couple weeks ago. The smell of fresh waffle cones was intoxicating from out on the sidewalk. I had a cone with rocky road & cookie dough flavors. So good. Very friendly service too!

they have chocolate dipped ice cream for $1 extra, rare to find these days.
can't go wrong with strawberry, plenty of strawberry chunks.
bordeux cherry also good and has plenty of cherry chunks

Pretty unique flavors. Got the Turkish coffee and Swiss orange shake. Great portion size. But some flavors are kind of subdued. For example couldn't taste the berry in chocolate raspberry.

Hella cheap $4 for 1 junior scoop. Pictured in the cone is considered 1 junior scoop. Chewy consistency delicious like Turkish ice cream.
Got lychee (with chunks in it, not artifical-tasting and too sweet)
Chewy sticky chocolate also good for a chocolate lover.

Swensen also reminds me of great vintage railroad travel posters from the 1940s; we need nostalgia during these temperamental times; their sweetness takes me back to anima Simone song : put sugar in my bowl; A friend loves their black licorice flavor which is seasonal and offered only in October. Why do they not have pistachio flavor ? This place should have some outdoor seating ! And it should offer some soundtrack while we are regaled with nostalgia .

Worth. A. Stop! Peach ice cream delish if in season! Fam also enjoyed chocolate fudge swirl, cherry and chocolate chip cookie dough - not a drop left!

Local homey ice cream parlor with a variety of flavors. It has a 50s vibe and is a good spot for tourists. You order at the counter and then pay. Credit cards accepted. No seating available. They do have kid sizes. I got the Turkish coffee in a cup and asked for hot fudge to be added (95 cents). The employees were nice and efficient.

Great ice cream! Not cheap! Guys working hard behind the counter. We walked here while sight seeing in San Francisco in need of sweets for dessert after dinner at the piers. Walked here from Lombard Street. The vanilla chocolate chip was great!
