Root's Cafe

This place is very cute and connected directly to a vintage store, which I loved checking out after eating. The food was delicious, and the staff was great except for at the end. Our waiter kept coming by other tables directly next to us but never to us, so we had to go get our check and to go boxes at the cash register. I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was planning on coming by soon. The only problem I have with this place is that it’s always packed, but that just shows that it’s highly enjoyed by many people!

Great cafe spot with a really strong brunch and lunch menu. Have sat outside both times and it's a great setting. In the summer it can get pretty hot but it's well shaded and usually super comfortable. Wait can be pretty long but there is a great novelties store next door that is an awesome way to pass the time as you wait to be seated.

Oh man! So good! Came in for a light breakfast. I had their daily pancake, which was an apple Cinnamon something, and a sausage side. Both were amazing! The place is super cute. Staff were all friendly, and the prices were perfect for the quality and portion. Pancake was HUGE. Absolutely recommend to anyone in the area!

Service was prompt and food came out quickly. The travelers omelette was very good with the veggie sausage and the cottage bacon was a nice twist on the eggs Benedict. Portions are generous, it would be hard to leave here hungry. Only gripe was the house potatoes could have been a lot crispier but overall everything was great.

It's a bit of a drive up the canyon but it's probably top 3 breakfast spots in Utah. Their Pancake of the Day is excellent and they have two sizes to choose from. The half is normal sized and the regular is massive. The real maple syrup is also delicious. The biscuits and gravy were amazing as well. It's a vegetarian gravy, which I was apprehensive about, but it was savory and delicious. You also get a protein and eggs so it's a good sized portion. Their fresh-squeezed juices are also amazing so don't miss out!

Loved this cute cafe. Great options for gluten free, vegan, and allergens. But all in a shared kitchen. They are great about checking ingredients and have lots of healthy items and comfort foods. Note that it's quite small so you will have to wait. The cute boutique next door is the perfect place to shop while waiting for your table.
