Candy Heaven

Tonight, I was thinking to myself as my husband and I walked around around the candy store, "wow! That guy has worked here for a long time"'does he really like candy that much? I guess I was the only one who didn't know Darrin owned the whole darn store. He gave me a post card, magnet and a candy bar with his posture own it and it still didn't register until after I left. I've always had a good experience when I've gone into his famous candy store. Tonight's task was to see if the sold pez dispensers when we came across of pez candies, walking into the store. Yes, they sell dispensers an entire 2 walls of them. My husband got the Superman.I would have liked to find a Barbie one but didn't see any. They probably don't make them but I guess I can always google. Thanks for the gifts, the conversation and gags you love to play, Darin. ❤️ I look forward to learning more about you.

Such a cute and unique store. There are TONS of different candies to choose from - chocolates, gummies, s’mores, even crickets! There’s a HUGE section of taffy with insane flavors such as maple bacon, popcorn butter, mango chili, peanut butter and jelly, and so many more. The taffy costs $5.50 or so per 1/2 pound. Other stuff have slightly different prices per a certain weight but they are reasonable! The line to pay may look long but moves pretty fast. They used to do free samples but not anymore since the pandemic. A must visit while in Old Town Sacramento!

So much to see and choose from. That's not a bad thing. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and rather pleasant. I really appreciated his demeanor. It made it fun to be there. Just as a side note you can purchase the baskets that You used to collect your goods, the large or the small. I purchased a small one for a very reasonable price to package and present the gift I was putting together. I wish I would have taken some pictures.
