Shingle Inn

We went there to have breakfast. The food was stale. The bread was old. Paid $16 for smashed avo,which was served on a stale bread and just one poached egg. The chicken avo sandwich was bland and horrible. The 2 star rating is only because the lady who served us was friendly. Out of five dishes we had ordered the only thing which was good where chips. Please do your self a favour and avoid wasting your money and go elsewhere. Disappointed and literally ruined our Sunday brunch.

I came to Shingle Inn cafe to have coffee and lunch with my family and partner. I'm very glad we did. The service was really good, food and coffee was made to perfection and it is a very reasonable price (Burger and chips for $15)! The new owner 'Puru' has really good customer service and makes sure he keeps his customers satisfied. I'm glad I have found a cafe where i can purchase an outstanding and satisfying meal and coffee. i will definitely be a regular at this cafe. i highly recommend everyone to come and give this cafe a go because words dont justify the outstanding food and customer service that Puru and his workers deliver.

Excellent management from the staff with delicious meal. New manager “Puru” is doing really great and his best in this cafe. I really recommend those who had been there but had bad experience, please come back and enjoy quality meal and service by new manager. Good luck. I will definitely come back to enjoy your food.

We stated going there twice a week when the first opened. Then it was okay. Since then it has gone right down.The female staff are lovely and friendly but the men are terrible. One can hardly speak English and certainly can't make coffee. They just stand there playing on their phones.We stopped eating there when we realised that the frozen burgers are microwaved not fried and we got belly ache after ordering them. We haven't eaten there since. They frequently run out of takeaway cups or lids and the poor staff are overworked.The coffee is great if they have cups.

I ordered an Iced Long Black coffee, and it was made with tap water (from the same sink and tap that dirty dishes were being washed). I didn't bother to ask them to remake it with filtered water as they seemed lack coffee knowledge anyway. General cleanliness or OH&S standards did not seem to be met here from observing their grill or espresso machine area. Good location though.
