Rude cashier lady..showed her ID for cigarets but my friend who ware there with me not smoking and dnt have ID on him so she refuse to sell cigarettes. Also took my ice tea back and turn her back to me without any explanation and went back to washing dishes.. she make look like she own the store and dont care about customers.. horrible service.. used to go there every day but never coming back again because of this uneducated person..

Best market in town. Staff always helpful and in a pleasant mood. Absolutely the BEST market food around! Our shop is next door and it's nice to walk Into a simple market and buy some down home cooking. I'm talking about mashed potatoes,ribs, pasta biscuits and gravy. This place could easily transition Into a resteraunt. Thank you for cooking some real food for the workhorses of America!

Last year when my fiance & I were looking for a house in Roseburg, we found one close to this market. We weren't sold on the house right away, on the way back to the real estate agency we stopped in here to get some snacks. I was immediately hit in the face with the delicous smell of garlic potatoes and bbq ribs. Ended up not getting snacks and got dinner instead. This market is the reason we ended up getting our place. The owner & his wife are very nice and friendly people and they've made us feel like a part of the neighborhood. The night lady with the tattoos is nice as well, she comes off as unfriendly but night workers are usually busy cleaning up after the day and really don't have time for chit chat, I know from experience. They always have everything in stock and they even have some household items you can pick up quickly instead of having to go to a big retail store.

Good service, great food, astronomical prices. So I'd like to add something to my review. Apparently the only time you get good service is when you don't look like a bum and you have cash. Because even though I was a second person in line because I was there returning 10th I had to wait 40 minutes service. At what point was I no longer customer. I was cleaning up and I felt like walking down to the store cashing in my kids and finding it there store. But instead I waited 40 minutes and then when they finally paid attention to me told me I needed to hurry, I had to handle them myself which is normal protocol, but then proceeded to stand over my shoulder and watch me put each and everyone in told me I wasn't counting loud enough... let's put it this way they don't even watch you this hard when you're taking a whiz quiz. It'd be easier to get away with one of those and trying to put up wrong can and their bin. I'll never go back. Oh and one last thing, they only accept 24 cans. It took me less than one minute to count 24 cans. But they didn't have time for me I still waited 40 minutes.

I told the lady I liked short cigarettes and she yelled at me “well I can’t remember everyone”. The next time I walked straight to the soda machine, didn’t say anything, the same lady said “you’re not allowed in here with that attitude”. Fast forward a few weeks and I go in and apologized and get what I need and go home. Today I went there and the owners husband told me I’m not allowed even though I said sorry. I live near the store and walk extra just to go to J and J, the next closest mini market. 10/10 never spending my money there again. Such a shame for a family owned business to be so rude to people in the neighborhood.
