First time visiting here and my experience was more than pleasant. The waitress Maryanne went above and beyond on her service. Her pleasant personality, authentic smile, and genuine desire to serve was evident. The meal was delicious. I eat it all I'm surprised my stomach didn't explode. Unfortunately, I was able to have desert. Although, I'm lactose intolerant, I will be returning to try the fried cheesecake. Well I visited again to try the fried cheesecake. I gotta say the presentation was very appealing and so was the taste.

It was the end of the day. 9:20Pm. So I wasn't expecting much. But, A beautiful little place. And, the food was very good. I had CA roll and a bento box A with extra soup. I was so glad when I started tasting. I come to Long Island once or maybe twice a year, so am pretty sure am coming back here again.

What does a farm cow and Haiku Sushi have in common? They’re both outstanding in their field. The food was excellent, portion sizes were healthy, and there was plenty of variety. Mary Anne, one of the owners, gave us personalized service by name and also offered her recommendations on what to order. The atmosphere is pretty authentic for a village sushi house, with vaulted timber ceiling beams and small lanterns and candles. I travel for work and get a wide variety of sushi all over the country. Haiku has some of the best around, and the prices are reasonable. Top notch!

I had an amazing experience today at Haiku. I’ve recently started eating raw/cooked sushi and I must say that it was amazing. Maryann, the owner was so sweet and helpful by making recommendations of her own about her favorite rolls and I must say they are all fabulous! Everything was so fresh and well made. Being a local and having this place near me is definitely a plus! Also many recommend them for their sushi!!!

I never write reviews, ever but I had to for Haiku. This place is an absolute GEM with the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life (growing up in Manhattan I’ve tried many). This place tops all of them, by far no comparison and extremely reasonably priced. The star of the show isn't just the meticulously crafted rolls or the fresh salmon; it's the owner Maryann. What truly sets this place apart is her warmth and unparalleled attention to ensuring you have the best experience possible. The minute you meet Maryann there’s an instant energy and warmth, and you feel like you’ve known her for years! She doesn’t just run a restaurant, she creates an experience and makes you feel like you’re dining in her own home. She is truly one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. This is now me and my husbands go to spot, not only for its insanely delicious dishes but for the personal touch of the remarkable owner, making it a must-visit for any sushi lover. DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE IF YOU'RE IN TOWN!!! We had such a great time here from start to finish. Maryanne was our server, and she was full of great recommendations and genuinely good energy. She really made our night. Now the food? Incredible. Started out with a large sake to share (yum!) and the appetizer order of rock shrimp. Sweet, spicy, crispy deliciousness. For our mains, my boyfriend and I shared the beef negamaki and the Peter Roll. The beef was tender and savory and the Peter roll was the perfect pair to that. We'd highly recommend both!! We got the fried cheesecake for dessert and it was insanely good. Our bill was surprisingly super reasonable for the area Haiku is in and the quality and quantity of food we got. Maryanne went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night and we will definitely back to visit her and Haiku the next time we're in town!! Thanks for the great night ❤️!

After working at the New York Times and traveling all over for 37years for my job, I have been to many restaurants and Haiku is one the best Sushi places ever. The food is fresh hot and very very good. The staff even the “waitress “ that may sit down with you while taking your order is great. Making you feel at home and welcome. I feel so lucky to have Haiku in my hometown of Riverhead. I encourage anyone that wants great food to come to Haiku. Tom Burke formerly of The New York Times retired

This family-owned sushi restaurant on the east end has become my favorite go-to. Each visit guarantees fresh, handcrafted sushi, skillfully prepared by their friendly and experienced staff. The relaxing ambiance coupled with outstanding food offers an exceptional dining experience without stretching your budget. An unmissable spot for any sushi lover.

My first experience at this amazing sushi place was more than I expected. I was playing a show next door at the Suffolk Theatre. Thought this would be the perfect place to grab some sushi. I love the little building with the overgrown ivy and plant life - very quaint and inviting - makes me feel like I'm visiting somewhere authentic...and it definitely was! I highly recommend the Panko Crusted Tuna Rolls and the Green Tea Mochi. An absolute delight! I will definitely visit again next time I return to Riverhead!
