Smashed

I've been to Smashed several times, and each experience is has been an improvement on the last. The staff are very kind and have been trained well. My favorite menu item are the grilled cheese sandwiches, which I've had with a variety of cheeses, meats, and stuffings. I highly recommend the egg and avocado. Smashed is not only a restaurant great for newcomers, but from my experience they also return loyalty in kind. On several occasions they've been overly generous in adding food to my order at no extra charge.

I was excited that a new, different place was coming to Rexburg. I went in the other day with some friends and we tried the Bacon Mac and Cheese, fried Avocado slices, and a PB&J sandwich. The food came out fast, which is about the only positive thing I have to say. The mac and cheese was greasy, dry, and not cheesy at all. The fried avocado slices tasted ok, but the portion was tiny! The jelly and peanut butter on the sandwich tasted like any crappy generic brand and the rye bread had a very weird taste. As for the appearance of the place, there's almost no decorations, the walls aren't painted and the drywall is chipping. The employees seemed very unenthusiastic, but the girl that helped us order was nice. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. I think that if they revamped how they made their food and created a better atmosphere, it would be a great place to go and hang out. But as of right now, IT"S NOT WORTH IT.

Walked in and we're immediately made welcome. The staff were incredible and went out of their way to make it a good experience. Excellent recommendations and the perfect amount of food for the price. Fries were freshly made and delicious, sandwiches were made to order and incredible. Facilities were clean and had a cool atmosphere inside.

AWESOME experience and AMAZING grilled cheese sandwiches! The staff was super friendly and the owner went out of his way (several times) to work around our food allergies! Our entire family was able to get delicious gluten free sandwiches and the bread was really delicious too. (You gf people know what I'm saying :) definitely will be going back!!

This place is getting better, but has a lot of potential. I got a PBJ today on pancakes and I was actually quite impressed. They put on plenty of peanut butter and made sure I would be full by the end. I highly recommend the pancakes sandwiches. The staff is friendly and dedicated to providing good service. The interior isn't too exciting, but that's really not too important. If they keep stuffing my sandwiches with more food, I'll keep coming back. I think it would be great if they did combos. Anyways, they have potential.

I love this place! Anyone who wrote a bad review, you need to go back and try it again! As a new restaurant, it has finally got it's footing. The food just keeps getting better and better! The chicken wings are the perfect crunchiness, sauces are delicious, and the custom grilled cheeses (with meat) are very satisfying! And DON'T FORGET to try some of their Oreos!

We had high hopes for Smashed but were disappointed. I gave this place a couple of tries before reviewing. Both times my corn was cold and chewy. When I told the staff my corn was cold she handed it back to me and said that's how they serve it. The mac and cheese was terrible. My toddler wouldn't even eat it. We sent it back the first time bc it was cold and they just put it in a frying pan so it came back chewy, greasy and dried out. We did like the buffalo wings.
