Kiki Bakery

Just ate a suppose Napoleon cake....but tasted like stack of tasteless grease crumb layers, with single faint mid. sandwiched sweet white cream, and few walnut maybe. I consider myself non-picky eater, but what I just consumed is simply awful. Item not recommended, and should not be marketed. Do they (the bakers) even sample own product? Overrated and overpriced.

Bought a couple bags of cookies & they had a weird taste & smell to it, tasted like cardboard. If I recall they were the chocolate sprinkled cookies & the raisin cookies. Mind you, I chose the ones that seemed to be partly discolored. Not sure why, they seemed appealing to me. Although I've tried the vanilla sprinkled cookies kind, they were relatively good. They said that the chocolate ones were "supposed" to taste like that...I'd really doubt it.

Overall I was pleased but the quality was inconsistent. The sesame brittle was *excellent* and addictive. The tiramisu cake was bland; no coffee liqueur flavor at all and barely any chocolate flavor. The strawberry mousse cake was OK - not too sweet, with a mild strawberry flavor. The "cream bread" was very good, mostly because of the slightly sweet, soft bread. The clerk was quiet but friendly enough.

Update: The original Kiki Bakery is officially dead. Not sure why they would change the name on both Google Maps and Yelp, but keep the old name on the actual store location, which is more than confusing. The selection of the bread is now dramatically reduced to less than half compared to where they used to be, to the point it doesn't make sense to pay a visit anymore. //===================================// Decent selection of Asian style cake, desert, and bread, with reasonable price, although l do hope they come up with more flavor and variety. There are a couple of premium burger which are only available by special order.
