The place is very neat and clean staff is very courteous food is pretty average for the price you pay, American Chopsuey was very sweet due to pineapple being a significant ingredient in it, However they were courteous enough to have it changed which we rejected as I had half in my plate already. Nice ambience. I had Breakfast and Dinner buffet continuously for around 2 months here. They also had food fest for 1 week during this duration. In this they were offering South Indian dishes and had fusion of various dishes with South Indian touch. Starters here are of good taste. Chana tikki, Corn cheese balls, veg kebabs are few to name. Main course usually has Paneer, some different vegetables, Dal etc. Live counter has different dish everyday. It adds to variety. Multiple salad options and 4-5 sweet dishes. Overall good, hygienic, tasteful food. Management is also cooperative. Breakfast buffet also has multiple options. To sum up, you won't get disappointed here. Good experience.

They also were serving some items on request although it wasn't advertised as a result I came to know only afterwards. The staff was poilte and were there with a smile. The ambiance is okay. Overall experience was good. The rates are also okay. Although I don't think it's a place you'd visit for a cup of coffee considering you have so many options around

I had been here with a client and a team of 20 for a buffet dinner. <br/><br/>Coming to the reviews.<br/><br/>The one star given is only for the ambiance maintained which is really nice. <br/><br/>The other aspects really needs a thought, be it food, service, hospitality.<br/><br/>Starting from the arrangements, we had to ask for everything, like providing the complimentary drink to checking if the food was hot.<br/><br/>The starters served were super cold and had to ask the servers to go back and re-heat them.<br/><br/>The main course were kept on induction, but inductions didn't seem doing their work, all the meals were cold.<br/><br/>the services was very slow and un-attentive, even the basic thing of re-filling the water had to be asked to multiple people. I stayed in the hotel for a course of 6 days and took 2 meals both breakfast and dinner buffet.<br/>I can safely say, after having food for 6 days, I can give a detailed run down of what I liked and what I did not like.<br/><br/>Dinner Buffet -<br/>The biggest issue with the buffet I had was that it was inconsistent. If I am paying a price of 950+ per person, I can safely assume that I would be given the same taste and service day after day.<br/>Some starters like honey potato, spinach and cheese croquettes, Veg Manchurian were great while others like aranchini balls, cheese balls were very bland and had no taste.<br/>The menu was also very repetitive.<br/>Majority of the dishes in the main course were of forgettable taste (with exceptions of very few) and everything seems pretty bland, lacking that punch and taste to get you to take more of it.<br/><br/>The live counter could do with an item that indulges majority of their customers. I was dying to have a live Chaat or pasta counter. The pasta in the buffet was dismal.<br/>The mocktail is nothing but a cold drink probably mixed in with lemon, nothing else. Why call it a mocktail when it's just straight up carbonated drink?<br/><br/>The service needs improvement. The starters used to arrive first, then the mint chutney after telling the server twice. Trivial things like water have to be reminded. Service is slow even when there is no rush in the restaurant.<br/>When you give instructions to the chef, they are not carried as per your wishes.<br/><br/>I have had buffets from many places that are the same price or even less, where I would like to visit again but here I was disappointed.<br/>The misses were a lot more than there were hits.<br/>I did not find my value for money and while the variety is there, what good is when the taste of the food itself is forgetful?<br/><br/>Breakfast Buffet -<br/>I can find some redemption here. The breakfast is good in respect to taste, variety and service.<br/>You can find a good variety of fresh juices, various cereals, breads, muffins, doughnut, North Indian and continental with eggs and waffles as live counter.<br/>The breakfast is worth it.<br/><br/>I would like to visit the hotel again but will definitely skip the dinner buffet or opt for A la carté, if I really have to.<br/>CA Gaurav Kumar

Undercooked food is something that will not please anyone, and just by taking the dish back is not going to solve anything.<br/><br/>Anyway, spaghetti was bad, and main course was pretty average in taste. “You don’t need a silver fork to eat good food” 😋<br/>These 2 stars are just for the food though it could have been better. The lasagna lacked cheese. Chicken was succulent and marinated well🤟🏻<br/>We went ahead with “a la carte” but they do have good deals on buffet as well<br/><br/>But the customer experience here is bad. The staff would just take away your card without even telling you. I would not recommend this place to anyone until this hotel works on their hospitality and customer service.

The place is good with a good ambience but your privacy is totally invaded..as the sitting arrangement is close by and the lights are bright so u don’t get your comfy space which I actually want when I go for a buffet <br/>And it has a vast variety of salads and dessert <br/>But keep space for dessert as you wouldn’t like much in the food menu so have little.<br/>And only 2 types of starter which was a disappoint for me after going to barbeque nation and then to pinxx...<br/>It was a company gathering so I guess we should have low expectations..<br/>

Pinxx, A Coffee Shop by Royal Orchid, Kalyaninagar<br/><br/>An external training event organized at the hotel location. <br/>Typical buffet with an extensive spread with some Chinese, Italian and some North Indian fare.<br/><br/>I tend to avoid buffets simply because the flavours don't match up with the food served a la carte. Besides , the food is allowed to simply cook away in those chafers perched atop the table burners. <br/><br/>The tomato soup was watery, but the flavours were alright. I'm sure they know the soup from the shorba - so I'm unsure what went wrong with the tagging.<br/><br/>You could imagine the predicament of the penne pasta that lay in the chafer, overcooked to bits and the penne falling apart, just because it couldn't take it anymore. I managed to extract some portion that looked like it hadn't fallen apart completely - the pasta had turned to paste though.<br/><br/>Served myself some soya chilli noodles with some black bean sauce that had veggies tossed in - not half bad. Liked the fact that the noodles weren't bathed in oil, and didn't have a tonne of diced vegetable thrown in just for the sake of it.<br/><br/>Got piping hot rotis served straight out of the tandoor - brilliant! <br/><br/>For mains, Veg Lahori and some really really incredible Aloo Methi to go with it!While the Lahori was alright, the Aloo Methi totally floored me!<br/>The potato chunks had cooked through really well, with the right amount of sweetness to balance the bitterness of the Methi. <br/>Managed to get another serving of Aloo Methi - made me happy this!<br/><br/>Veg Florentine was overcooked and forgettable...<br/><br/>Desserts didn't look as alluring, and I had to stay awake for a post-lunch training session. Gave it a miss.<br/><br/>Not sure how much the meal cost as it was paid for by the company. The ambience was pretty much conventional, and the seating is very comfortable. <br/><br/>Nothing really stood out apart from the buttered tandoor rotis and the scintillating Aloo Methi off course. Delicious!

I have been to hotels before but never enjoyed so much variety together. <br/><br/>I could say that most of the food items in menu tasted delicious. Sali murghi and bengali fish curry were yummy, and kacche gosht ki biryani was out of this world. I liked mango souffle in dessert. <br/><br/>Ambiance is very nice. Service was good and staff was polite. <br/><br/>A very good experience indeed! ☺

What a blunderful Buffet it was !!<br/>Based on the one time visit I had to this restaurant I have to say as compared to other places offering buffet Lunch this place stands no where . In terms of taste the food was bland. Starters were ordinary , I mean who serves an under cooked cauliflower in starter. There were only 2 Veg starters. The blunders did not end here.In the main course the noodle was simply bland. The exotic Veg curry was ordinary, the presentation of Alu palak was good but unfortunately the taste was not up to the mark. The biggest disappointment was the desserts. Balu shahi was terrible with no sweet and too hard to chew. Cut fruits were neither fresh nor cold and the chocolate Ice cream was literally out of flavor. All in all it was a terrible experience.

We had training scheduled at Hotel Royal Orchid and as part of it enjoyed lunch at Pinxx. I remember being there in 2014 as well and must say they are very consistent with the ambiance. Nothing has changed even a bit. Be it seating arrangement, location of desserts, main course OR soup - everything is still at the same place. Kudos for such consistency. <br/><br/>Food: <br/>The buffet spread is good as it always includes the combination of fish, chicken, noodles, pasta, variety of veggies, daal and rice. I've no specific comments for food as I find the food a bit bland and I believe the reason is that the hotel is required to cater to the overseas guests a lot. Regardless, noodles can be a (tiny) bit spicy. Today's Aalu Sabzi was yummy and so was Israeli Salad. If you are lucky, you will also get to eat Phirni here and that is one of favorite. <br/><br/>Service:<br/>The service is prompt and all the servers are very courteous. There was an issue yesterday about dessert spoons not being available. However, we being Indian's, we managed with the normal spoons (after all, Phirni was waiting in my plate). <br/><br/>Overall:<br/>Food: 3/5<br/>Ambiance: 3/5 (since 2014) :)<br/>Service: 3/5<br/>Value For Money: I'm not sure but I think the buffet is expensive.

I celebrated my Birthday here, since my dad works for Royal Orchid Goa property we managed to get a fancy discount on the food buffet.<br/><br/>One of the best fine dine places in Pune i have visited. We were about 10 ppl and all of us could talk to each other without having to shout out loud at the top of our voices... They has this really nice soft music playing in background. <br/><br/>Food was overall good i must say.. All dishes in the buffet were tasty.. starters and main course were equally good. Nothing to complain about.. Must visit if you are looking for a fine dine experience with simple and good tasty food.<br/><br/>Commendable service that really impressed me.. there were 2 servers per table who were always attentive and ready to help..<br/><br/>They very kind enough to get me a complementary birthday cake which was yummy and clicked our pics in the hotel lobby and reception area :)

We have our breakfast here whenever we are staying at Royal Orchid. The spread is perfectly balanced for Indian and Overseas travellers. The spread is complete with juices, omellettes and other stuff. In the staff, Arun is very helpful and pleasant. Overall would recommend this place for its good food.

A lunch outing at pinxx was something I really needed as I was craving for some good food. The place is cozy not very grand and the interiors are subtle. With pink lightings at the background. The restaurant is always bustling due to corporate tie ups but the food is what was important. The starters we had were OK. The fish was a little oily and paneer tikka was not that soft. The chicken kebab was average and crispy vegetables were tasty. There were no live counters although they had a station for it. The main course was tasty. This was one rare occasion in my culinary experience where I felt the main course was far far better from the starters everything fro the Chinese to the Indian to the continental was tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed. But then again the desserts were just average. I would visit this place again.. Maybe.. :-)

With so many options available for good buffet dinners in Pune , we were a little disappointed with the spread at Pinxx as you kind of set a certain benchmark for your dinner. Let me begin with the appetizers - tawa fish (fish in egg batter n fried) was something you would expect at a late night roadside eatery and the other non veg appetizer was murg afghani which could have been better but after the tawa fish I was really ready for anything else :)<br/>Next fish in teriyaki sauce, baked vegetables n apple and yellow Thai curry with veggies were mediocre. There were some other forgettable options for vegetarian main course - Hyderabadi veg and paneer Boti (big mix up or mistake) which I tried and left the plate for clearing immediately. Finally I went for the promising looking murg handi which was again a big downer as it was laced with loads of cardamom spice which left an unwanted aftertaste after every bite. Desserts were there just to make up the numbers - 7 of them but all stale and the bakery items - assorted mousse, chocolate balls and apple pie had peculiar smell of a room freshner (I guess someone got carried away with it and it got deposited on these items). So these comments must make you wonder why 3 rating so here it goes - I've given all of them to 'Gajar ka halwa'. I love gajar halwa and the fact that their preparation was spot on got them 3.

I got the opportunity to try out their buffet during a two day training at the hotel over the weekend. The ambience of the restaurant is pleasant however it does not stand out in anyway. The two day affair didn't vary greatly as the food was repetitive but still they are capable of getting the taste dead right. Whether it be the salads, soups or mains, the spread was scrumptious and we ate to our hearts content. I did hear moans and groans regarding the Desserts not being upto the mark (As I don't have desserts personally so I rely on the judgement of others) but considering the service offered I think this ain't a bad choice if you're in the mood for a Buffet

Moong halwa was dry.<br/>8. Add some good salad. like pasta salad etc.<br/>9. Dont serve cold food, like cold friend potato smileys.<br/>10. Please test curry before serve. Combination of curry and chicken was not good.

Superb food, wide variety of main course and deserts for dinner buffet. Fantastic staff, good ambiance. Overall, a wonderful experience worth remembering. They had made Methi Palak sabzi in main course, that was amazing and so was their doodhi halwa. Soup was delicious, ice-cream mast. Their chef and staff are superb, courteous, smiling. <br/>Preferable for special occasions as well, can have memories to carry for long :)<br/>Worth repeating the experience.

We had come for breakfast and lunch. The never ending breakfast buffet with various options was a delight. The staff seemed extremely friendly and hospitable. The ambience is good too!!<br/>However they should work on the milkshakes!

This is the second time that I dined at this place. It's a very well laid out set up with prominence of luxury dining. Standard of food has been maintained very high with the best ingredients. The dessert section has lot many options and it's always advisable to have some space in your stomach so as not to miss out on the wonderful desserts.

Was there for office dinner with a group of 18 on 23/06/2016. It was our 1st visit. I have to say it's a real deal out there. Enjoyed great food, services e a day ambiance. I was amazed with the service to start with. Normally when we go out for buffets, the 1st complain I have is the wait time for the starters. I have to say I was amazed that was not the case here. The service was so prompt that we never had our plates empty. The hosts were extremely courteous and eager to serve. Coming to what we went there for, food. The menu was thoughtful and food was delicious. I have to mention in starters the crispy mix veg and the fish was just to die for. The main course and deserts had a wide range of choice and everything was just delicious. Now to ratings..<br/>Food: 4.5/5<br/>Service: 5/5<br/>Ambiance: 4.5/5<br/>Value for money: 5/5<br/>Overall a must visit place and I am looking forward to visit again and enjoy the good food and excellent hospitality and service.....

Stayed at Royal Orchid for the weekend at Pune and their 24 hour cafe PINXX serves the amazing food and hats off to the chef for serving exotoc dishes without compromising with the taste. The staff therr is also friendly and a full on breakfast over there could sum up ur lunch also. Had a dish named AKURI.. which I found very interesting.

Decent Meal with good hospitality !<br/>Pinxx located at Royal Orchid Central Hotel in Kalyani Nagar is a good place to have a decent meal at reasonable prices. The Buffet is not extraordinarily large but is good enough to give the diner a sense of value for Money. Buffet spread has the usual suspects starting from a Mocktail, 2 Veg/2 Non Veg starters, a varied salad spread followed by the Main course and then the delicious desserts providing a nice climax to the dinner experience.<br/><br/>Drinks & Starters – 4/5 – We kick-started our meal with a Khus based Mocktail and the good part was that it was laid out in the Buffet which is rare to see as Restaurants are usually wary of giving multiple servings of Mocktails but here it was unlimited and quality wise it was good too :)<br/><br/>Main Course – 2.5/5 – This course was somehow not as good as the Starters or the Desserts and requires a good amount of improvement to ensure that the Main course dishes have the required flavors and the dishes are good enough to stand up on their own instead of just making up the numbers in the Buffet.<br/><br/>Desserts – 4/5 – Most of the desserts were good with Zauk-e-Shahi (Gulab Jamuns with Rabdi), Strawberry Soufle and Rasmalai standing out from the rest.<br/><br/>Ambience and Service – 4/5 – In the adjoining area to Pinxx there was a private party going on for an IT Company and initially as we were entering I thought that our service will be impacted consequently. However all my speculations were laid to rest as the service was quick and efficient, the starters took a while once to get replenished but otherwise the service was spotless. The Manager and Captains were courteous as well and asked for the feedback on the starters served and made the relevant changes to ensure that our experience was good. The Ambience was pretty alright as well with comfortable seating and sufficient lighting along with colorful lights on the ceilings and the walls, giving the place a refreshing look.<br/><br/>If not for the rather ordinary Main Course I would have definitely rated them a .5 point higher for sure, still it’s a good place to have your dinner without burning a hole in your pocket.<br/><br/>For a more richer experience please visit my blog, happy reading :)

Went for a lunch buffet recently. Good ambiance. Food was average, not bad but also nothing outstanding.<br/>What I liked - chicken starter. Didn't get to each paneer starter, heard few good words about it as well. In main course, only thing I liked was a fish preparation.<br/>Paneer used for main course was bad quality. Dal tadka was bland. Tried few other veg dishes, nothing left an impression. They also had a live counter serving variation of fried mini idlis, liked that one. In desserts, I liked kiwi cheese cake. Other options like chocolate pastry, gulab jamun etc were also good.<br/><br/>Felt like a reasonable place to visit.

The hospitality was awesome really impressed..<br/><br/>Coming to the food..it was a buffet so variety of choices from veg to non-veg..am a veggi so will tell about the veg ones..<br/><br/>They had choice frm hakka noodles, assorted potatoes, dal makhani, and paneer. And desert included malpua..and cakes. <br/><br/>Food tasted really good.. Worth visiting again :)

I had been a bit disappointed on my earlier visit but I still decided to give it a shot.<br/>The starters were exceptionally good especially the chicken and the paneer which was like a pickle but yummy and we washed it down with wine.<br/>There was not much of a choice in d salad section but the fish and mutton in the mains were both outstanding. The desserts were also limited but the Cappucino was perfect..<br/>Decent food with warm and attentive service made it a pleasant evening.

We had been here for a buffet dinner. Nothing specific about food. It is average quality and varieties are not that good. Highly congested and layout done awkwardly. Service is not good especially not enough staff to handle. Only thing two staff handled entire restaurant. Not worth the money you pay.

Been here about three times for office buffets. Overall a good place. Starters were decent. Desserts was really good. Main course has been mainly Indian and Chinese but tasted well. Price us also cheaper compared to other buffet options. One can have a comfortable conversation with colleagues over lunch. Very relaxing atmosphere.

I usually stay at this Hotel when I travel to pune. I have no idea about the lunch and dinner but since the breakfast comes CP I had an opportunity to visit the Pinxx restaurant. It has a variety of food items. For people preferring veg, Non-Veg, Spicy or even regular breakfast. It has a live counter. The staff has always been very courteous and good. Though being a buffet breakfast they have served me on the table many a times. The ambience is also very good. Just the perfect type of food and ambience you love to spend time with your family. I would prefer this place for lunch or dinner when with family more. It gives a complete homely feeling. Perfect blend of spices and well spread food items. A must Visit. <br/>

I have been to this place a couple number of times now and have loved this place every single time.<br/>I have found the food here very simple, less spicy and lovely every time and that is what I like. Eat a lot without upsetting your tummy :) Off Course, they have got a huge variety.<br/><br/> Most importantly the staff here is so well mannered and polite. They know exactly how to treat their customers.<br/><br/>Mocktails and desserts are indeed fab. I had visited there with my office colleagues for Team Lunch. <br/>Hotel staff were good in service and found good interior with nice lights and all.<br/><br/>But a good hotel is known for good food which we did not had there.<br/>Starters were good in taste but not in variety.<br/>Main course was really tasteless.<br/>I took chicken curry and palak paneer, but both were really tasteless.<br/>Although i found desert very tasty.<br/><br/>Over all I am not NOT HAPPY WITH FOOD AND SPECIALLY WITH MAIN COURSE.

Ambience, service good.<br/>Food average, not worth. <br/>Hot n sour soup, Manchurian in starters were good, but tomato soup, paneer tikka below average.<br/>Main course average.<br/>Desserts ok.<br/><br/>So overall if you're looking for a good food then I wont recommend this. But if you want enjoy the ambience then it's your choice.

Been there on office party. It was quite a good experience as a vegetarian. We had lunch buffet. Number of items in main course were less but taste good. Only one veg and one non-veg starter served. Complementary drinks were missing. Ambiance was good. They had two partitioned. One partition was like a lounge used for dining purpose. Service was good.

Having visited the neighboring Tiger Trail quite a few times I decided to try out Pinxx last month.<br/><br/>The menu at Pinxx needs major overhaul.. Their breakfast menu is almost as large as their dining, 24x7 menus which bears well on their breakfast menu but not so much otherwise.<br/><br/>We went for the Pot Roasted Lamb which was in great in terms of the lamb but the mash was a bit runny actually (not creamy) and the Pork Chops which were actually pretty decent though not the best in town.<br/><br/>With a couple of vegetarians on the table who decided to go Indian the Dal Makhani and Veg Biryani were both pretty awesome but we ended up assuming that they had a common kitchen with Tiger Trail that serves pretty awesome Indian food. Anyway point being the Dal Makhani was awesome and we ended up asking for one more just to finish off the meal.<br/><br/>For the desserts we went mediocre with both the cheesecake and gulab jamun being nothing above average.<br/><br/>The service was great and since we went for an early dinner on a weeknight we were pampered with a lot of attention by the staff considering that the restaurant wasn't buzzing with too many people.<br/><br/>The pricing is pretty much what you'd be prepared to spend at a similar restaurant and although I still think Tiger Trail next door is a better option, Pinxx is a pretty good place to eat every once in a while (biggest plus is that it's a 24x7 place)

I have been to this one quite some times for the midnight buffet, on fridays - after a late-night at work. So the food ain't that great or ain't that bad either. You can sit down in a cosy corner and relax with some decent spread of not-so-palatable food. What I do like about this place is the service though. The staff seems a little decent and knows how to behave for sure. The location again is their high point. All in all, its alright if you have live closeby and don't wanna drive down to a far-off place after a tiring day's work.

Pinxx has great location and atmosphere with an outstanding service by the staff. There's nothing wondering about the menu or cooking Method. Sit in the restaurant and you can watch the chefs at work. There kebabs arrived well spiced, the chunky chicken juicy, served piping hot from the grill. Many more authentic Indian and European dishes are on the menu, which includes Murgh Makhani, Orange Tart and Mousse etc.<br/><br/>Specially Orange tart was more tempting than expected.<br/><br/>Thanks

Tried the midnight buffet and it was an appauling experience . inspite if making a reservation for 8 pax the staff was not ready with any buffet setup.they said we wd serve on the table. from the watery stinky mutton kheema to the mashed boiled yukky paw bhaji . 2 waiters handling the entire show . a sheer waste of money . service time between 2 portions was so slow tht one looses appetite . guess thats their strategy .would never go to this place again . <br/><br/>sumeet

Ok... Seems they have got their acts right. After been through the appalling service last couple of times (check my review), I did visit them once more. This time, they were right on their toes and kept making my visit worth remembrance. The service was the best, they made sure none of the guests were left unattended (I am not talking about myself but I was looking at others too). There was a big table of women kitty party, who were making too much of noise. I was glad to see someone going there and asking them to reduce their volume to little lower, if possible. Good experience. I now recommend PINX to everyone I know for a decent buffet.<br/><br/>Areas of improvements: Buffet Menu can be little better. But most of them are new and are in training. Typical coffee shop with Buffet for all 3 meals of the day. I have been a regular member to this place - well, not because I love them a lot but because I have a membership :P<br/><br/>The experience overall was OK. However, the last time was horrifying. There was 2 waiters handling around 20-25 tables. Buffet menu hardly has any variety. Food was still OK. The service was appalling. No snacks served on table till asked, no spoons on buffet table, asked for spoon for dessert - was given a sundae suppon to eat rabdi... the list is endless.<br/><br/>They are definitely worth an one time visit. But I wont go there !

We had an awful experience at this hotel. We did not expect such bad service and careless attitude from any star hotel. <br/>My colleague had made a prior table booking, when we came at the restaurant nobody was aware about the booking. Then also no senior person attended us.<br/>We found 3 live worms in the salad. Napkins provided on table were smell bad like old unused stuff. No seriousness was shown towards the complaint. On top of everything, I saw flies on shrikhand and pastries.<br/><br/>After paying we asked for feedback form, they looked very confused as if we asked for something wrong. Finally we didn't get it after waiting for long.<br/><br/>Overall it was very bad experience, never expected. Not worth for money paid. Pathetic and slow service.
