Red Bento - Pullman

I came to visit my nephew he's going to college here and he recommended coming here for sushi. They were very attentive from the time we showed up to the time we left. I let my nephew pick out the different sushi and it was all very good. It tasted really good. There was one role that wasn't holding up very well but other than that it was very good tasting pretty fresh. They keep you miso soup when you come in and we asked what was in it and she explained which was very nice you sip on it so it's not like something you get a spoon with I learned something new everyday. We just had water to drink and she filled up the water glasses many times for it very nice.

Welp.....they were an open restaurant in Pullman. We did have to ask them to comp the Chicken Katsu. Katsu was Over cooked and dark. Not much chicken. All breading. And just soaking in its sauce. I've had Katsu in numerous different towns and restaurants over the years and have never seen it over cooked and soaking in sauce nor so thin sections of meat. All my other locations for chicken Katsu is served with its sauce on the side in a dipping dish. I'd recommend they make a change if it was up to me. Not too happy with the cashew nut chicken plate either but my wife and I were very hungry. The spider rolls were fantastic, really enjoyed them and we kinda fought over the last two spider Rolls. We would return for the sole purpose of ordering sushi rolls. By the way we never ever ask for a plate to be removed from the bill. But we found it necessary here.

Ordered through door dash pickup. Husband had to wait for staff to look up from their phones to be greeted or anything else. Was just passing through Pullman and wasn't feeling the fast-food options. Yakisoba was inedible. Chicken flavorless and a strange fishy taste that I have never experienced before in a Japanese yakisoba. $15 into the bin and McDs it is. Huckleberry pucker shandy drink was okay so 2* for that.

I was pleasantly suprised to find tons of gluten free options! I ordered I think it was a ginger pad Thai and it was delicious. My husband loves the sushi and was very happy with his order. The place was wel kept, had a nice atmosphere. Our waitress was kind and helpful. Overall, it's a place we'll visit again and would recommend.

The food was bland. The sushi was put together very lazily, and very small in diameter. I am a HUGE fan of the Red Bento in Moscow. I eat there everything weeks when I go to the area. I figured I would try this one in Pullman because it was just down the street from where I was staying. But I will make the drive into Moscow to eat at that Red Bento moving forward. I would not recommend the Pullman location to anyone. Do yourself a favor and make the trek into Moscow, the food there is AMAZING!

Ordered takeout on parent’s weekend. Ready in 30 minutes. We got the food and realized that while both entrees were supposed to be tofu, one came with chicken. To get the meal replaced, we had to bring the entree back in, and wait 45-50 minutes. Decided to have them just cancel the order and get a refund as we were settled in from a long day and didn’t feel like going back out. She went on to say that they wouldn’t refund our $15 meal they got wrong unless we brought the renter back to the restaurant. Ridiculous business practice to further inconvenience a paying customer due to their own error to keep their $15. We’ll never come back.
