Cloud9 Bar & Grill

We went on Grand opening night. Nice and busy and even though they were a bit understaffed, the wait-staff was great. Even the new owners pitched in to seat people and wait tables. The interior is welcoming and open. It was a cool night but the patio was open and being used. The menu is well rounded with great starters, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. Happy hour lasts until 7 and there were some good deals on draft and craft beers. We stayed after dinner because the band (LA Band) was great, playing mostly 70's and 80's music. It was opening week so there were some growing pains, but the concept is good. We'll be back again!

I have never wrote a review before. This experience has changed this. I have never seen such a horrible mismanagement of a bar/restaurant in my 43 years of life. I managed bars in my younger years so I have a great great grasp on the basics and what people expect. The atmosphere was terrific. Exactly what I expected. The service was awful. The man that greeted my wife and I asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. The problem was that there were no seats at the bar yet several tables were open. Very odd!!!! It took 15 minutes after we sat to even be greeted. Almost left before it happened. The food had potential of being great but two burgers came out an hour after ordering and were luke warm. One burger wasn’t even correct but I was scared to complain and have to wait another hour. The beer selection was great and liquor selection was perfect. This place needs an actual manager who is awake and a kitchen staff that can manage their time. Poor experience!!

Food selection is typical American bar food. The food quality is a bit less than average for bar food. The pizza was particularly underwhelming. The servers were friendly and attentive. Despite coming for an early dinner, the music was still loud and had competition from a radio in the kitchen playing something totally different. What a cacophony. There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke coming through the open patio door (a big garage door).

Menu seemed better than the last establishment. We ordered the sampler platter. Wings & pretzels way over cooked. Also ordered the spinach salad which also included cranberries. Out of spinach & cranberries. Compted that off our bill. People on the patio had to keep coming in to order. The bartender was really nice. We will give them another try, to get some kinks out.
