Aside from the prices being through the roof, the server or kitchen lost our order, but checked in so little that they didn't even realize it. We waited well over an hour for our food in the pub area and while we were okay with it taking some time, they doubled down and tried to say it was getting plated when it wasn't even entered, so it was another 30 minutes. The location is excellent and the food tastes amazing, but expect to spend $20+ for a sandwich. The theater is fun to explore, as well as the fun movies and the great seating inside the theater.

The food is average but priced as good quality; so not a good value. The cocktails and shots are weak. The table service rules are strange in that they only bring food to the mezzanine, but you can eat in the back half of the main floor. And you have to get your own cocktails and shots from a separate bar after ordering at the main bar. I don't recommend tipping much here since the service is so underwhelming by design. What saves this place is the beautiful theater and good value ticket price. They're definitely trying to make profit by cost cutting on food and service.

Its always baffled me that McMenamins spends so much money recreating these beautiful old properties only to treat their food service as an after thought. It really is not even good pub grub, and their beers/wines are equally as disappointing. You know though so eat and drink with caution. The rest of the experience is excellent, service is typically pretty good and the atmosphere is incredible. Bagdad is one of the crown jewels of this local chain. It’s hard to find a historic theatre experience as fantastic as this one in Portland!

Bagdad theater is by far the coolest theater you'll see a movie in. You can choose seating on the main floor or the balcony seating up above which is my favorite! If you sit up top you can order food and drinks right to your seats! Upstairs is also a bathroom so you don't have to go far and if I remember right I believe the audio plays in the restroom so it's like you never left. Also they have customized cocktails for all new movies which is a nice touch and makes the experience that much better!

This is bar none my favorite theater. Great food, beer on tap, and cocktails! Huge, gorgeous art deco (?) theater. Several rows have tables in front where you can set your food. Great place to see epic movies that demand a big screen. Theater is appropriately sloped so that your view is not obstructed. There's also a balcony where you can have food delivered to you.

Great place to get dinner and watch a movie. The pizza was a bit disappointing. The popcorn is good, and the beer as well. Beautiful old theater. Arrive early if you are planning on eating as the good seats in the balcony with tables fill up quickly and the line to order food grows fast. It is best to split up and send one member of your party up to get seats and leave another behind in line to get food on the balcony ramp.
