Kenton Station

Think of your living room, its comfy, inviting and super chill. Now add a bar, neon lights, heaping portions of food and stiff drinks. That's Kenton Station summed up. It's like the Cheers of Kenton, and its a great way to meet locals and share a warm meal. They make their soups in house and every one has been tasty. My boyfriend loves the swiss and mushroom burger, and I enjoy the cheesy beefy melt. The bartenders are kind and service is prompt and no fuss. Sound good to you? It's been great for us. Give a local business some support and enjoy a savory meal with an ice cold beer in the heart of Kenton. (Some say this place is haunted .)

This place is super chill and easy going. I would highly recommend them for a date night, hanging with friends, or work happy hour. It is just such a good place to get some good food, good service at a decent price. I will say, I loved it here but the parking situation is not the greatest. Even so, I would go here again their menu is full of options for everyone. We got wings, a hamburger, fries, curly fries and a caesar salad. The burger was good, not dry and okay in flavor. The fries were salty like we wanted, the wings were pretty good as well. You have options and so I would highly recommend this place. The have tvs so you can watch games here also.

The food is good I enjoy the double Paul Bunyan cheeseburger. It's a stunning creation! James is a fellow Benson alumni and a really good fellow. He hires some good people out there and his wife does a very nice job making sure the place runs nicely. I enjoy going here and I suggest you enjoy the same. This is a great little eating and drinking establishment in the Kenton neighborhood of North Portland, where I once lived for 20 some years. Kenton Station is somewhat of a fixture, and well deserved since it is one of the few really decent restaurants around here that isn't strictly a franchise, a bar, a food cart, or a hole in the wall (not to disparage any of those). Just having windows as it does is reason enough to make this a decent place. There are some great food choices, but there are also some meh choices. We started off with a meh choice, splitting the fish and chips. I didn't want my dinner date to end this experience on such a disappointing note, so we added the Kenton Station Special (roast beef sandwich with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, and mushrooms au jus) to the tab. The room suddenly seemed much brighter! I'll have to come back here again to try something else. Last time, I ended up with the fish and chips.

Looking for a moderately priced place for lunch on Denver St. In the Kenton neighborhood, my son and I gave Kenton Station Pub a try. Definitely a neighborhood bar, they had an area for minors during certain hours, so we sat down. We were quickly acknowledged and given menus. Typically tavern fare, my son's French dip was excellent. Meat was tender. Ah jus flavorful but not too salty. I had a hamburger which was also better than fast food any day. The side of tots was huge! While the decor is dated, the pub was very busy. Sidewalk dining was also available. The staff worked together well to provide friendly and prompt service. Great job Kenton Station. We'll meet again!
