Sellwood Public House

We have been coming here on and off for ten years now. I've held my birthday party here, come for date night of fish tacos, drinks and darts. My husband held mastermind meetings here monthly for several years. We've brought family and friends. We really enjoy this place. It changed hands about a year ago maybe. Still great, but we did notice slight changes. I miss the house made infused liquor since I don't drink beer (GF) and we really miss the oyster shooters. But even the original owners had stopped serving them. I suspect the price fluctuates with the season etc. Otherwise, the atmosphere and menu hasn't changed much at all.

Sorry not sorry. No brew pub atmosphere. No kids running around. No dogs roaming around barking at each other. Guess what it's an adult bar. People come to drink and eat and socialize. The food is better than the average bar. Look no $15 free range meat this organic bun that Burger. Great bbq meats with choices of sauces. Salad offerings which are good. Fries are fresh and flavorful. Slightly offsetting service. Have to order at the bar and start a tab or pay up. Little pushy for that next drink. Once you get your food and or drink then they service you at the tables. Seems like it's always the same staff. The waiter/busboy that walks around could use a little upkeep. I don't know a shirt or some kind of apron so you know he works there

Had the opportunity to stop in here with some family on a trip to Portland and we had a fantastic evening. They've got pretty much every bar game you could ask for alongside a delicious beer & cider selection with a full bar. The pizzas looked delicious even though we didn't get one... But next time I'm saving room. We're coming back here next time we're in town.

For the good: Fun place! Lots of games. The food was delicious, and their menu is very approachable. Good selection of taps, and very reasonable pricing. Free pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, etc. Lots of screens including a couple big projectors. And the not so good: Their board/card game selection is a little lacking, the game tables and dart boards are a little too close together, and the arcade games are not free, which was a little misleading from the information on their website. All in all, it's a nice place to go when you want a bit of variety from the same old bar routine.

This is hands down one of my favorite public houses around. The staff is always friendly and I've been going here for 10 years it seems. Their beer selection is fantastic and their food is really good too! Darts, shuffleboard, pool & games. It's a great meeting place for your friends, family, co-workers. It's all grand! SPH!

A fun little pub with an assortment of bar games that is on the second floor of an old building. A good atmosphere with loads of friendly bartenders. Tots or the fried pickles are a solid choice, and they have plenty of draft beers to wash them down with. They also have an old piano out near the stairs that will get a Christmas song from me no matter the time of year.

I love this place! Came in for a beer on a random day and have been coming back ever since. The food is great, the bartender who always wears dresses (I think her name is Jessica) was so friendly and professional that I instantly knew this would be my new spot! The ambiance is great and so is the crowd! I would highly recommend a visit to anyone considering! Cheers!
