Taco Bueno

Staff was very friendly and nice, food was prepared relatively quick. I should note that This was easily the worst food I’ve ever had, I’m sort of in disbelief at the price points of products that I wouldn’t feed the yard cats, let alone my beloved friends and family. I’m puzzled still, poring over half eaten miniature taco-replicas as to how my body might choose to reject this travesty.

This Bueno is now closed. I'm not surprised though. The quality of the food at this location has been in decline for years. It used to be an absolute must go, not too many years ago. But the staff seemed to not care about the quality, especially after rush time dinner hours. After 9PM, the workers definitely didn't care whether or not they had cold refried beans or old crusty tortillas. It's sad to see a place I cherished in college, completely lose track of quality and customer service. However, the Bueno over on K. Ave and Parker is still going. The best location for Bueno is 75 and Forest.

I pick up food here a couple of times a month. Service is poor, usually 2 or 3 people working. Always have to wait to order because the counter person is preparing orders. Have to check the order every time because something is always missing from the order. Not sure how hard it is to look at the monitor that shows the items ordered and put them in the bag. 5 items on the screen, 5 things in the bag. Seems simple enough but there must be some thing I'm missing because the job can not be done regularly.

Always clean and and employees are always nice. Been there a couple of times and no complaints. Fast Food Restaurants are not going to be the posh upscale dining experience most on here seems to expect. My belief is that you can't please everyone, and someone is ALWAYS going to complain no matter what.

Been here twice. Food in the platter is always tipped over. Just got dinner from here about 10 minutes ago. My muchaco was completely covered in beans as they don't take care to make sure the platters don't tip over. They also didn't give me the chips that come with the platters. Pita bread was so stale it was almost crunchy. Rice was dry and stale too. Disappointed since I love bueno.

If I could give no stars I would. This is the second visit with the same results. Slowest service ever! Always seems like only 2 people working in the whole place at anytime. When I come to the counter the staff just looks at me without greeting or sense of urgency. They move like they hate their jobs. They take forever for just 2 bean burritos. Definitely worth skipping this place next time.

It's a shame, because I use to make a FURTHER trip to come to this taco bueno, when it wasn't the closest, because it WAS better. However, that is not really true anymore. Every time we certainly here, the taco shells either taste stale and are cold or seem uncooked and cold. They barely fill the bean burritos, and if they're stingy with beans, you know there's a problem. You can buy nearly two cans of refried beans at the grocery store for the price of the bean burrito. You guys can afford to fill burritos, buying your (probably much cheaper quality than grocery store) beans at wholesale prices. My taco salad and tacos were terrible. Everything is cold. The taco salad shell is stale and soft. It's supposed to be crunchy. It's supposed to be hot. I don't know why it's so complicated to receive fresh, tasty food from places, but this Taco Bueno is no exception.

I've been here just a few times over the last several years. Once the food was mediocre but service had issues. Another time the service passable but the food sub par to the standard I associate with Taco Bueno. This morning at 9:30am I thought I'd try their breakfast. However, I could not even get into the building! The open sign on, I tried all the doors but they were locked. On the door, the hours state that they opened at 6am for both drive thru and dining room. As I was on foot, I couldn't even give their breakfast a chance. This place fails.
