Aw Shucks

I'm really on the fence of 2 or 3 stars... Pros: The crab and the oysters were good. The crab was seasoned and cooked well, and the oysters were a decent size and tasted fresh. Cons: The shrimp were not devained (which is okay, since they were whole) and were mushy (almost gooey) - a good sign that they were thawed and sat for too long with the heads still attached. The clam chowder was bland and watery. I think I might go here to just have some oysters and grab a beer. This makes sense to me since the name of the place is based on oysters - it's fitting. And it's got a cool vibe. But the rest of the food that we tried makes me get over the cool vibe real quick. 2 stars for food. 3.5 for atmosphere.

The food is always good here, very fresh and we came to partake in Good Friday festivities. All was in order however the food order was served at various times with the main dish the crab leg and shrimp boil special coming out about 20 minutes after my parents had finished there meals and dragged out visit for them as we peeled through shrimp and cracked crab legs. Made it for a not so engaging experience. Really need to look into potentially serving all entrees at the same time per order or table. Other than that, great place.
