Panera Bread

EDITED: I have to edit this review, since I wrote the below, they really have improved their breakfast sandwiches SIGNIFICANTLY. The last few times I've gone have been absolutely perfect, even with an over easy egg. So moved up from 2 to 4 stars. Great work guys, even when I know you're hurting for staff. Older Review: I’ve gone to this Panera for years and have watched it steadily decline, though I think that goes for all Panera’s, is basically a fast Applebee’s at this point. This is the third time this has happened to me in the last few weeks which is the only reason why I’m posting because I’m so unbelievably frustrated that I pay so much money for terrible food. I’ve gotten my breakfast sandwich wrong the last few times I have ordered. I get the same sandwhich every time. This one didn’t even have bacon on it. The previous times the eggs were scrambled (I get over easy) or the bread would be wrong. I know the hiring market is rough, but these were problems long before that. The below photo is what I opened up for a bacon egg and cheese on ciabatta.

This review is not based on the food but based on the environment the way the menu is printed and displayed Panera you need to get onto yourself . that menu which is overhead is ridiculous the writing is so small that you can barely read it from in front of the register you should bring back the paper menus that you used to have before Covid my other complaint about Panera and you can take it to the head management is that my friend received a Panera gift card for $50 for his birthday on 5/21/22. we tried to use it it had not been activated so obviously Whichever Panera shop that his daughter purchased it in obviously the staff person failed to do their part and activate it very frustrating when you go into a Panera restaurant and expect to be able to use a gift card

Overall experience was ok. Just disappointed with a few things. I ordered through the Panera app and scheduled my food for lunchtime. Delivery through Door Dash was great! However my food which was checked on a list was missing Basil on my Margherita pizza. And my Asian Crunch Salad had fatty cuts of chicken (2 pieces about the size of your average chicken nugget). Other than the fat on the chicken (ick!) And the missing Basil on the Margherita pizza it was good. Just a shame when I tried to call, no one answered, and there is no way to fix or mention something went wrong with an order on the Panera app. So 3 stars for the minor oversight on that.

It’s one thing to be understaffed and just busy but the staff let us stand there for 10 minutes with crying kids without ever telling us they weren’t taking orders and to use the touchscreen. Never got greeted everyone stared but said nothing. They had no ice coffee and no rush to make it. The food was good but we won’t be going there again. Such a shame.
