Restaurante Due Rose

I went here a handful of times but I usually ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. This dish is delicious! This time I ventured out to try the Osso Bucco. This dish was delicious as well. I'm giving this place 4 stars because I wish there was more transparency on what you're paying for. My friend and I ordered a salad and split it in half and they charged $1 for using an extra plate. It would be nice if the waiter just told us about the extra fee prior to finding out after getting the check. I've honestly would've just used the tiny plates that were provided on the table already. I havent been to a restaurant that would charge me like that so it was a surprise for me.

I ordered take out. The menu said green peppers, they put yellow ones on my pizza. They were old, pizza was not fresh at all. Tasted awful!!! Ordered the tiramisu, it cleary has been sitting somewhere. It was old too. I will never go back to this hole in the wall of a restaurant. Just wasted almost $30.

We went a few weeks ago. We had calamari - it was very bland, without seasoningand hardly any salt in the batter, and no great dipping sauce. I had the seafood linguini in white wine (red) sauce that another reviewer posted a pic of - looked the same and was pretty darn good, I added chili flakes because I need some heat! The steak my dad-in-law had was ok. My partner had a dish with octopus (squid?) that was ok, some kind of green sauce we can't describe now (and I don't see on online menus), but the octopus were big pieces and not well-cooked (either too long or not long enough) so it was not a good chew. Also, they def need to update dining room - looks old and not well-kept. But I would like to see a long-time restaurant in the area stay and possibly get better, so won't take off more than 2 stars... 😊
