Kingsmen

First time going to this location and it was a really good experience. Met up with some friends for a night of food and catching up. My steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The drink I had was good as well. Dessert was excellent too. Minor inconvenience was a piece of plastic was found in my friends meal but Kingsmen manager handle the situation and offered her apologies. The atmosphere was nice for a Saturday night. Not to loud but you could tell everyone around us enjoyed their time at this Kingsmen location. I look forward to coming back and enjoying an evening with Kingsmen pub.

Visited Monday at noon. Had an abbreviated but enjoyable lunch. Thought we’d try it for dinner. With covid restricting every place to 10 patrons only, we made reservation for a specific time on Wednesday. When one of our party dropped out, I called that morning to reduce our reservation to allow another patron to dine. When we arrived, they had our reservation but no seats. The guy at the door shrugged and wrung his hands, saying there would probably be seats soon. Probably? Are you kidding? Nobody was eating. Everyone was knocking back beers, including the gang that arrived unannounced an hour before. The guy at the door kept pointing to two lone characters at either end of the bar saying they might leave soon. Neither looked like they were crawling out until closing time. Until then, we could sit in our car ‘until something freed up’. It was pretty obvious that wasn’t going to happen. The place did call us 10 minutes before we got there. To say what, I’ve no idea but I don’t take calls while driving the 401 in rush hour traffic. Like everyone else, I’ve been to a hundred restaurants where the floor manager knows how to move their clientele and ensure space is available for the next paying customers. Apparently, they can only shrug and equivocate here. We took our business elsewhere. If they don’t like this review I can only…shrug. Maybe, wring my hands. Gave them a star for their cook with Monday’s lunch.
