Our favorite Italian bakery in Philadephia. Great selection at this Philadelphia institution. Even the hour to two hour waits during Christmas and Easter periods are worth it as they feed you pastries while waiting in line along with occasional sips of Anisette and Amaretto! Service staff are personable and friendly even when new workers are serving.

This old school pastry shop is amazing. The pastries were fresh, delicious and served with a smile. The shop was packed for pre Christmas purchases. They had thoughtfully put out coffee and cookies for the line (which was long). The Sfogliatella were AMAZING. The carrot cake was moist and not too sweet. The cannoli was fresh and crisp. Can’t recommend enough

Isgro made our cake for our wedding at the Museum of the American Revolution, and it was stunning!! It was perfectly piped with a vintage yet modern look and feel. Was exactly what we wanted! We had multiple guests rave about how delicious the cake was, too - chocolate chip pound cake with buttercream.

Beautiful cake! Been going here for years and has always been a personal favorite. There aren’t a lot of great bakeries locally anymore, but Isgros has stayed consistent in being delicious and affordable. Pre ordered this cake for my boyfriend’s birthday and they got everything perfect and honestly went above my expectations. The young blonde woman at the counter was super friendly and helpful too! Always recommend this place for any of your bakery needs!!

We ordered the Rum Cake, Chocolate Peanut Butter Ganache Cake, Marjolaine Cake, Mascarpone Cannoli, and Mascarpone Eclair. My favorite was the Chocolate Peanut Butter Ganache Cake. It was rich and moist and the roasted peanut coating added a delightful texture. The rum cake was also good. It was lighter than the previous cake and had a strong vanilla taste with hints of citrus. I really enjoyed the nut coating and I think the texture and flavor brought it together. The Marjolaine Cake was super light and airy and not as sweet. The cake layers were a bit like wafers, and it was a bit difficult to cut with just a fork. The Mascarpone Eclair filling was a little sour and acidic. The pastry itself was solid. The Mascarpone Cannoli was a lot better and not sour at all. Overall, I would recommend getting the cakes.

Ordered a strawberry Cheesecake to pick up for my brother’s birthday and it blew all expectations out the water. Hands down one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had. From the presentation to the texture and flavor of the cheesecake, everything was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend going here for your pastry/cake needs.
