Silvernail Inn

Growing up in Wisconsin, I was accustomed to a Friday fish fry every week. When I moved away, I realized just how much I miss them. I discovered this restaurant had a fish fry so I had to try it out. Ms. Elaine was the bartender/ server and she was not lying when she said it was a big platter of food. She started me out with a mini loaf of bread and then a cup of clam chowder as well, both of which were piping hot and tasty. The platter of food was next. It had my potato pancakes, applesauce, cole slaw, and fried fish. The pancakes could have been a little crisper, but they were good. The fish was lightly battered and delicious! If I am ever in the area again and needing my fish fry fix, I will definitely be back!

Came here for the first time and had great service. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The beef tenderloin stroganoff was outstanding and perfectly seasoned, with large chunks of tenderloin, 4 people in my party loved it. Two others had fish and we're equally pleased with their choices. The fresh baked bread was remarkable and honestly the best bread I can recall having in any restaurant. This place is definitely worth the trip if you are anywhere in the area. The prices are also reasonable for the quality and portions served.

Very Impressed! We were visiting the area for the weekend and searched through a bunch of options. We landed on Silvernail and were beyond impressed. The staff were really friendly and the food was all phenomenal. It all seemed very homemade and was seasoned and made perfect. We had appetizers, salad bar, prime rib, steak, and kids food. Absolutely loved it and we would definitely come back!

We were here early on a Saturday night. Simple but good...again, nothing fancy, but good quality. Started with a salad bar, cup of chicken dumpling soup and fresh baked bread. Good and filling. We ordered a 14oz ribeye...it was delicious. Garlic mashed potatoes...good. Nothing from the bar...we will be back!

The server was very attentive. Rack of Lamb was excellent! I will absolutely go back. Dropped 1 star as the interior/atmosphere was a little old and tired. You could tell that the establishment had been a Big Boy at one point. Considering the higher prices and high end menu, you would expect a little fancier/nicer ambience. Otherwise...awesome!!!!

The vortex for supper club dining is the state of Wisconsin. Throwback restaurants, with good eaten of American cuisine, proliferate in the Badger state. Silvernail Inn, a combination supper club Greek diner, is located in Pewaukee, not near the lake, but down an obscure road close to the strip mall ugliness lining the freeway. It is in a unique location. All your favorites are on the menu, and then some. Because it’s in Wisconsin, the Silvernail has a huge bar. The food is good, very reasonable and with good friends, as we were, you will have a great time.
