Spicy beef noodles with wide noodles. The portion was very generous for $14. I struggled to finish it. Service was great and friendly! the soup tasted really nice and not spicy at all tbh. 4 stars just because it was a little bland. Beef was amazing. I'd recommend it!

Good portion size and balanced flavours. The bun skin is tender but not sticky, with just the right amount of filling and broth inside.

Wow, this is such a good restaurant. Its hard to believe that you can even find food like this in Perth. I haven't had good northern Chinese food in ages and this fulfilled my need. This is probably one of the only authentic places. The soup was fragrant and so flavourful as well as the pickled vegetables. The Chinese burger was also very yummy with the mince bursting with spices and herbs. I am definitely coming again for more :)

We had beef noodles, Xiao Long bao, and cold noodles. We are happy with what we got and the portion for beef noodles is huge😊. Recommended!

Xiao Long Bao is excellent, very juicy and taste very fresh. Handmade noodle is a must try and you can choose the thickness of your noodle. Both of the thickness are good.

Very excellent customer service as well as friendly team. Atmosphere excellent with songs. Looks delicious and will taste spectacular too. Thanks Mr Bun, I would rate it 10/5 stars if I could, but only 5/5 stars. :)

hole in the wall with HUGE servings and ridiculously cheap prices for handmade noodles. unapologetic humble cooking with comforting flavours. had the noodles in the sesame sauce, was lipsmackingly delicious and the noodles had springy body to them. surprising little lunch spot of goodness

They dont offer much options on their menu, especially for a non beef eater like me. I ordered the spicy and sour fish soup with belt noodles. The noodles was so smooth and thin, fish was tender and soup was flavourful. I find it a fuss to eat with chopstick because the noodles were so long and smooth, it slides off your chopstick all the time and i get sore fingers after finishing my meal. But its a setback Im willing to go through for good food.

Had the mild spicy beef noodle with flat. Oodles. Portions are gigantic and so delicious. $11 for 2 people is incredible value for money. And the food was incredible!

the noodle was fine with a good portion, the soup was too salty. The kitchen is kind of dirty. The Chinese burger which is about 5 dollars is not worth the money, you'd better buy two cheeseburgers in Maccas in hay street. The store is in a good location, however, you need to get some good food to serve the people around. Not a good experience.

Good value. Uses wide bowl and just to make it look big portion. Cheaper than city ramen places.
Can be a quite pack place for lunch. Tastes like self made noodle. Worth the buck.

For so many years I avoided this place because it looks dodgy.. but man.. glad I tried it today. It opened when everywhere else is open. I tried the Chinese burger and sour beef noodle soup. The burger taste good but it's a bit overpriced I think. $5 for a English muffin size bun and a bit oily too. But the noodle soup was good. Came in a bowl bigger than your face. And the noodle and beef so good. Beef was really tender. It's one of the most authentic sour veggie beef noodle I have in Perth. Actually not many sell this noodle dish so I'm glad I found it. I will come back.

Simple and straightforward menu, VERY generous portions and quick service. I got the mild beef noodles. The beef was cooked perfectly and the noodles were delicious.

I think this place is great value. Only thing I would want to change is to have more vegetables in the noodles!

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now, today I finally got the chance to try it. I ordered the noodles with braised chicken, the noodles were thick, just the way I like them, it was overall very decent and they gave very generous portions.

Do you sometimes feel hungry? You're not alone. Many people do. I know I've felt that dreaded hunger a few times in my life (i.e. LITERALLY ALL THE TIME). But DON'T PANIC. This is why Mr Bun is here. The noodles will fill you up and BONUS they are delicious. Eat here the next time you're hungry. Or hangry. I promise you won't regret.

Actually really like this place!!! The noodles are freshly made in store, which not many places do these days. I had the fish and preserved vege soup which was full of flavor. And very addictive, only posting this review because I'm craving it right now and I only just had it for lunch today!

This place has been on my list for a long time and I made it today!
Very straightforward menu, I ordered the spicy beef and pickles noodles and chose the thin noodles. Little did I know what I was gonna get...the portion is HUGE! Like triple the size I was expecting. For only $12! I do wish they could put more vegetables and less noodles haha.
I really tried but still couldn't finish it (facepalm) I hate wasting food...
So yeah definitely bang for your buck!

I ordered the cold noodle but didn't really enjoy it. Either it's the texture of the noodle or it might be that they have fried it that makes it taste oily. I didn't finish that bowl of noodle. Taste wise I thought I was not too bad. My partner ordered their bean paste noodle and enjoyed it.

Finally decided to try this place - and it has changed from being a 'bun' shop to actually serving up China style noodles. Their pork Bun wasn't that nice, rather dry and oily. However their noodles were quite hearty, and comes with home made noodles too - thin or belt (ie. wide and flat). We had the Spicy Beef and the Sour & Spicy Beef Noodles - glad you can choose the spice level. Huge bowl, but the broth was decent, not too heavy so drinking it was quite tempting. The beef came in decent chunks and was tender, not chewy. The sour soup was quite heavy on the vinegar though - might be overpowering for some. Overall a decent meal, but there's better out there.

I like mr bun 😋 The handmade noodles are good, along with the pastry stuff they make. The seating inside was expanded, so now there are a couple more tables to sit at. The prices are reasonable and the food was made really fast. Would probably come back for a quick lunch for dinner 😬

This little place is a hidden gem in CBD. Not too many dish choices but the food tastes at least like real Chinese flavour. The spicy beef noodles never disappoint my husband and I. The amount is also large enough for a proper lunch.

Best. Noodles. Ever. Seriously. The handmade belt noodles have are firm and chewy, with excellent texture, and a good bite to them. The flavours are also cumin-tastic- an authentic representation of Chanxi style cusine. AND the two guys who run this place are absolute legends. Kind of like a Chinese Ernie and Bert. Top work, Messrs Bun. Noodle Kudos all round.

Small little Chinese noodle place on Murray St (near Barrack). Name is misleading as I thought they did buns but their speciality is noodles! They do a "Chinese burger". My mild braised beef belt noodle soup was great with a super large serving. Belt noodles are somewhere between a pasta and a noodle and is their in house speciality.

What we had: Chinese Burger, Spicy Pickled Fish with Homemade Belt Noodle, Homemade Egg Noodle with Soybean Paste. Food were tasty, but small portion and not worth what we paid. Don't think we will go back again, sowie.

I almost teared at how disappointed I was at their "Chinese bun". $5 for a small oil soaked English muffinesque burger with minimal pickled cucumber condiments and some meat. It was also steaming hot in a very weird way as though it were microwaved. It was a highly regretful purchase...I suppose their noodles would be much better but their shop name "Mr Bun" is so misleading.

Love this place cheap and quick will be back for sure. The service is great too I love the fact you can watch them cook your food. All I can say is they need to expand and make the shop bigger.

I was very excited to try Mr Bun. It was good to see a guy pulling a dough and form into belt noodle. However, it was disappointing as they were too thick so it was hard to chew and didn't have a good texture at all. So I guess if he made them thinner it would be much more enjoyable. Now comes to the stock of the slow cooked beef soup. It was very weak and had no flavor except spicy as I ordered hot one. So it made me wondered what did they do with the beef liquid which they cooked the beef until that tender. Anyway, I would like to say I enjoyed the pork burger for the fact that the pork was tender and tasty.

Best noodle soup I've ever had! I ordered the special pork noodle soup and it was like a big warm hug. The celery, carrot, mushroom and pork was such a good combo. My mates had the braised beef soup with belt noodle and normal egg noodle. I'd say the belt noodle is bit too hard to eat but all loved the meal. Chinese burger was average but who cares when soup is so good.

I also ordered a plate of the traditional Beijing dry style noodles which were delicious. You can really appreciate the care they take in making these delicious noodles by hand and mixing the black soy bean paste with minced beef through turns it in to something special. It’s quite a filling meal and while the pig ears didn’t hit the spot for me, the simplicity of this noodle dish shone through.

Mr Bun has been open a little over a month now, selling Northwestern Chinese takeaway food on a dingy section of Murray Street, just off the Barrack Street end of the mall. It's "Chinese famous food", according to the sign, which features a cartoon steamed bun with a crooked smile. There are just three tables for two. Order and pay at the counter, cash only. It's simple decor and no-frills food. The menu is small and features items not commonly found at Chinese restaurants in Perth. Prez ordered the cold skin noodles, which sounds like a dish from a zombie theme party. Don't let the name put you off - the noodles are handmade using wheat flour. They had a great chewy texture and were very tasty. Prez

It's a delicate eatery owned by a group of young and friendly Chinese guys. Their specialty is hand made noodles and fried bread stick, which are authentic Northern Chinese cuisine that you must try. It has been our casual weekend lunch place since it's opening. Great value, great food and great service!

Not into their buns. You would have thought that if a place was called Mr Bun, they would be good at making buns. But they are average. If not pretty bad.
