One of the absolute best Italian restaurants in Perth!! The pasta was so delicious, especially the four cheese gnocchi and nonnas meatballs. We will most definitely be coming back for more!! Highly recommended!!

Lovely restaurant in the middle of east Perth.
Service was helpful. I made a last minute reservation and they managed to fit us in for the dinner service.

We lucked it in when we discovered Maruzzella on a recent trip to Perth, we were staying around the corner and had seen it in our travels so decided to check it out. Absolutely worth it, we had the special seafood tortelloni and a pizza both were very good. We asked our waiter for a wine recommendation and he didn’t fail us the Passuluna Rosso was right on the money, perfect. Thank you for a great meal.

New Year's Eve dinner: Courteously called to ask if we'd like online booking brought forward as was closing 9.30pm. The waitstaff are true professionals--we were greeted immediately on arrival as well as when leaving.They anticipated needs as well as being timely and knowledgeable. Food was delicious and plentiful,wines and drinks well priced. 5 stars for what an Italian restaurant experience should be.

This fired pizza is actually good, it would have absolutely loved it of it had some more cheese as a filling and they had tabasco sauce. I should try the chicken pizza next but it isn't possible for one person like me to eat the whole chicken pizza in one go. So a slice options would be a great addon.

Came for dinner recently after not dining here for a while (was disappointed in our last visit). We shared a couple of entrees including the arancini (unfortunately very tasteless and dry). The pizza was generally good but, just as it was last time, too inconsistent - one base was borderline burnt but the topping was great, the four cheeses pizza was tasty but the base was a bit undercooked. The pasta we ordered was unfortunately very ordinary. Our Italian waitress was engaging and friendly & happy to make recommendations which was nice. Ambience was ok, nothing that made me want to rush back in the near future.

We ordered the spaghetti+meatballs (Nona’s meatballs?) and a Margherita pizza. The spaghetti was so delicious! Pizza base was nice and chewy on the outside but a little soft in the middle. Staff were lovely and accomodating.

Food was absolutely delicious, however I won’t be returning again due to the owners children. When I go out I want to enjoy the company of others and enjoy the food. I don’t want to have to get constantly interrupted by their kids just coming and standing at the table looking at us. This made dinner feel very awkward and uncomfortable.

Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff. The desserts were the standouts... the canollo and stuffed donut thingys with ice cream were INCREDIBLE. I would return just for those!!! The pizza was okay...excellent dough but the toppings a little bland overall (artichoke, olive, ham and mozzarella). The aranchini with garlic sauce was super delicious and full of flavour; the grilled mushroom was quite nice; the croquettes however were very bland.<br/>I would return to try their goat and polenta and other main which sound great...

Delicious food! Their lamb ragout tagliatelle was mouth watering. We splashed out & got a pizza to share as an entree... so glad we did, because it’s probably the best pizza base I’ve ever had!<br/>The atmosphere felt like a proper Italian restaurant should - loud, energetic, everyone enjoying the food, wine, family & friends🙂 <br/>Staff very friendly. But remember English might not be their first language, so be patient & speak clearly to avoid miscommunication.<br/>Am looking forward to returning soon!

The wait staff were polite and entertaining but not very effective. We had to remind them of orders and ask for cutlery. The restaurant has simple decor but very noisy, not uncommon for small restaurants in busy locations. The food was the big disappointment which is unusual for an Italian restaurant with a simple menu. Without doubt the least enjoyable Bruschetta and Tiramisu I have experienced and I have no idea what happened to the grilled vegetables I ordered. Rack of lamb was 50% fat though tasty none the less.

The pizza is authentic Italian unfortunately the 'meat lovers' type pizza we ordered was pretty sparse in toppings and expensive for what it was. This is certainly no dominos and I wasn't expecting it to be overloaded but I would've liked a bit more.

Fantastico!!!!<br/>Went here with hubby and 2 friends Saturday night and once again the food and service did not disappoint. We had a marguerita pizza, tasting plate,(delicious),<br/>Prawn linguini, chicken involtini( yum!!),<br/>Risotto and arancini balls. My friend said it was the most tasty meal she's had in a long time!! Keep up the great work, we will certainly be back!!!

The Fettuccine al ragu di agnello ($27.50) comprises of slow cooked lamb shoulder in herbs, tomato and wine served with fettuccine pasta, finished with a hint of chilli and basil. It was a delicious and hearty dish, perfect for the cold, wintry evening. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly to al dente and the lamb shoulder was soft and tender. The sauce was flavoursome with punchy flavours from the tomato based sauce and a slight hint of spice from the chilli.

Top Italian food found in Perth worth your money as they use the top quality product and the taste is amazing we are so hooked on the diavola pizza from base dough to topping cooked to perfection. The only place so far ive found that taste that good in perth!! Worth it

Gave it a try when first opened, had an awful, tasteless pizza. Took a while before I convinced myself I should try again, having read the glowing reviews. I thought maybe the pizza was a fluke. However the pastas ordered on the 2nd try were no better - edible certainly, but very bland. Do yourself a favour and instead go to CaffeItalia on the next street over.

Went here with the family because we were told this place was like eating on Italy. I have spent a lot of time in Italy both north and south. It was definitely not like eating in Italy at all. The pizza and scaloppine was very tasty but that was it really. The beef cheeks were so salty I had to send it back. I like my food salted but this was horrible. They tried to use the excuse of the sauce but it was just as salty the second time. For the price I was very disappointed. The seafood pasta was also bad. There were shell pieces all through it and it was so strong that it was hard to eat. Overall very disappointed and would not go back. Do not know what the recommendation was about and it definitely tasted nothing like the food in Italy.

I had dinner at Maruzzella's last night. Food was great, pizza was very nice, we had cannoli as dessert and I am italian and I was very satisfied, that would make me go back for sure. Very impressed with the fact that the owner was following the customers needs.The only negative note, it might be a personal thing but I did not really like one of the waitress chewing gum quite visibly while serving the customers, it does not looke very professional.

Writing this review on behalf of my sister. She went to Maruzella with 3 other folks because it's highly recommended by someone. They had a great Italian feast. Started with Trio di Bruschetta, followed by Rustica Pizza and Pennette ai Funghi. Not sure what they had for desserts coz she stopped sending me photos! She must dig into dessert without taking photo for me, lol. She definitely made me want to try this restaurant! Next review will be based on my own experience :)

By far the best Italian food in Perth and even beats some places in Italy itself. The food comes very quick and of very high quality, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. They make the most amazing pizza, and have the freshest pasta. Their almond cake is to die for. <br/>Overall the restaurant has great service, food and waiting time is quite minimal for the overall quality of the food.

Read a review and thought OK lets try it.<br/>Had passed by many times without any intention of trying it. Big Mistake!!<br/>From the outside I thought it was a middle of the road cafe or lunch bar. Big shopfront lighting and Pizza boxes stacked up on the inside. A small place probably seats 40 to 50 only. The reviews I'd read didn't fit so lets try. Well we left with a huge grin. The food is simply great. Pizza of high standard and Pastas, which I often avoid in "economical" restaurants, are superb home made delights. Have tried Ravioli with ricotta and porcini, Cappelletti with ricotta and duck, Squid ink with seafood. All just great. <br/>It doesn't take long to realise that almost all customers here are speaking Italian and the wait persons are all Italian that speak good english and are very helpfull.<br/>It is unlicensed and if this catches you out, there are major outlets only a hundred meters away. <br/>This is an ideal family night out.

This is my second time taking away pizza from maruzzella. This is definitely the best pizza we've had in perth! The crust is thin and light-fluffy, unlike the thick and hard crust that you often find in pizza restaurants here. We also used the special deal they have and two pizzas ended up to be $30! Love the service too cant wait to go back and try the other dishes.

What a fantastic little restaurant. The decor is a bit simple and you would be forgiven for passing this by thinking it wasn't much. You would miss out on the fantastic flavor of authentic Italian. The Trio Bruschetta was breathtaking and presented so beautifully. The pasta is homemade. The kids size was enormous. I had the slow cooked lamb ragout... I forget the name. The place was filled with Italians - staff and customers alike. I cannot rave enough about this place. Forget about Jamie and get into Maruzzella. The pizzas looked amazing also. Will be back

In the area and in the mood for some pizza so popped in to Maruzzella and ordered the diavola - mozzerala cheese, pepperoni, hot Italian salami.<br/><br/>It was the hot Italian salami that clinched it for me and it added plenty of pep to this delicious pizza with lots of gooey mozzerala and a lovely thin light base. I just couldn't stop eating it. So yum!
