Had a really very nice latte from here. The place is attached to what seems to be a theological bookshop, hence the name. There is some limited indoor seating space, and some outdoors.

This coffee shop is inside the Archives Bookstore in the back.

The staff there are great!
They have wi-fi and outlets.
There is patio seating outside.
Their drinks are delicious try them out!

You have to live around this oart of Downtown Pasadena to fund it. Coffee by the Books is literally a tucked away, quiet and a nice place for a morning mid day coffee meeting or some alone time to read, write and/or study. The entry is toward the back of a vacant former bookstore that fronts on Walnut Ave. There is outdoor seating in various forms with great direct sunlight in the morning.

Cute coffee shop, and the coffee was good. It's inside of a bookstore which appears to be under construction or something at this time, but the coffee shop remains open. The baristas were friendly and seemed to know most of the customers who came in while I was there. This seems to be a common place for students.

Great coffee, music, and seating. Connected to archives bookstore so if you are looking for any reading in Christian theology and formation it's all there!
They serve local coffee (Copa Vida) and pastries (Homeboy Industries), definitely a plus.
