Actually a very pleasing experience! Based on the sign out front I assumed it was akin to Skippers or Long John silvers but there were many major differences. The menu was extensive, including lobster bites which turned out to be very yummy! We received a sample of these after a manager came by to ask us about our experience and engaging us in a conversation.The young lady who took our order was very pleasant and professional. They had a very pleasant young man on the dining room who was totally on top of his job and kept it clean and tables open for dining. The restrooms were clean & the food was hot and delicious 😋 the coleslaw wasn't too tangy or sweet, definitely more of a sit-down experience as opposed to fast food although the wait for the food was very short 💁

I'm not a huge fan of fast food fish. Usually, it's too fried - ha ha. I love fish and shellfish - so I can be picky and want my fish to taste like fish. Captain D's does a really fine job with offering fish without the greasy dough. I love the shrimp skewers! Lately the have had Lobster roll and I'm impressed. I think its not a regular part of the menu. Their ice tea is always fresh and clean tasting. The employees are often happy and very pleasant. As for the fried fish - it's not nearly as greasy as the other fast fish food place - so bonus!

Do not try to do an online order at the Paducah store. Postmates will allow it but the Paducah store does not receive it. They tell you it goes to Princeton and that you have to drive to Princeton to pick your food up! I called the Princeton store and they did not have my order there. I wasn’t going to drive to Princeton but I just wanted to check to see if they knew what they were talking about. Obviously they don’t and they don’t care.
