Super Taco

This is one of the most underrated taco shops in the 805. This place is a cash only walk up window now…but there was a lobby and restroom available at one point, but now it’s all under renovation. Super Taco offers all sorts of Mexican “antojitos” like quesadillas, tortas, burritos, sopes etc, etc. Everyday the food is prepared fresh and made to order. This place never forgets to bring the authentic flavors and textures of true Mexican food, while getting you your food quickly and freshly made. It sits on the corner of 5th street and Meta St, so the neighborhood isn’t the greatest, but in true taco shop fashion if, the neighborhood wasn’t a little sketch, it wouldn’t be authentic! One of the best parts about moving a lot is trying out local food spots. I mean, the taco spots in some other states don't even compare to the taco goodness that comes with beautiful SoCal. Enter Super Taco. The carnitas platter is delicious. Honestly, every item we've ordered exceeded our expectations. What's been the most fun is telling our neighbors - residents of Oxnard for 20 something years - about Super Taco. They became new customers. Oh, be prepared to pay with cash only. If you get there and realize all you have is a card, there's a BOA atm nearby. Im speaking from experience but it is totally worth it!
