Bad Monkey

Food was off the charts!! I'm ready to go back and try some other menu options. Definitely visiting next time I'm in OC. The waiter was a little off putting though. Very brash and short. Could have been something else going on there so I wont judge off him. The girl working the gift shop was cool and let us look around even though she was closed and we were able to make some purchases.

This is the 3rd time I've been to Bad Monkey for breakfast and have absolutely loved my meal. If I'm honest, when I read the menu nothing jumps at me. However, when I dig in it it always better than expected. This time we had the breakfast tacos and bananas foster crepes. Both were great. The fruit served was excellent and fresh. Bloody Mary and cold brew coffee were also very good. Server was great too. We've actually had him before. Even when things get busy he remains polite and attentive.

I ate here 2x in 1 day. Breakfast and Dinner . I couldn't praise this place any more. The food was Great, drinks were Awesome and the staff nothing short of Amazing! The atmosphere here is perfect! Waitresses were very attentive. Place was super clean. If I could give more stars than 5 I absolutely would. If you are in ocean city md please try this place out

We came here during happy hour. Drinks were supposed to be Buy One Get One so we thought we could mix & match… we were wrong. It turns out it’s BOGO for the same drink. I wish our waitress told us this beforehand (or maybe we should have asked….) so she actually brought out four drinks (2 of each)! We got the Rum Punch and Coconut Crush, both were pretty good. But definitely couldn’t finish all four lol We also ordered some lunch. Warning: If you’re a foodie looking for some good quality food, this is not the place for you. You will be sorely disappointed. The Randolph Cheesesteak was so-so (too much bread and not enough meat). It would’ve been better if the bread was toasted. We upgraded to truffle parm fries as a side but those had a very strong flavor and the parm powder wasn’t pleasant on the palate. The shrimp tacos were just ok, as well. I was looking forward to the “gigantic” shrimp as the menu described but it was just two little quarter sized shrimp for each taco. Toppings were very simple and basic. I ordered avocado on the side for $3 extra and three small slices came. I liked the thin shoestring fries. The biggest disappointment came from the bread pudding. As the only dessert on the menu, we thought it would be amazing… instead it was super rubbery. It was clear that our slice had been microwaved; definitely not freshly made. The ice cream on the side looked like it was scooped out of a dollar store container and plopped down. The redi-whip with three strawberry slices added a nice touch, though. Service was great. Very nice location. Good bar. But that’s about it!

I don’t even know where to start with the food here. Let’s just say I left the place feeling sick to my stomach. I got the spinach feta and tomato omelette with a side of turkey sausage. As you can see in the picture, my omelette was runny not sure if it was fully cooked and the turkey sausage…. It was horrendous. The sausage was so dry and grainy and way over salted to the point that they were not edible. The only thing I enjoyed on my plate was the home fries and their fresh baked in house bread ( hence the 3 stars). Service was great our server was attentive and very nice. The outside seating was great also but the food was just not good. Would not come back.

Went to Bad Monkey for breakfast during our stay in OC. They serve breakfast until noon. It was so good! I loved the Monkey bread at the beginning of the meal, I had a pineapple mimosa which was delicious, and the food was awesome! I had the Bad Monkey breakfast which was two eggs, meat of my choice(bacon), home fries, and a big piece of homemade white bread toast. So good and filling! My partner had a banana foster crepe that looked good, and he enjoyed his beer as well. Great beer and cocktail selection! I would love to come back some time for lunch or dinner and sit outside if it’s nicer out than today.

We went out to the beach for an early morning walk before breakfast. I felt totally justified in splurging a little since our plan included several hours of hard core beach play and an evening of walking the boardwalk. We found a local joint called Bad Monkey that I just knew we had to try. It was funky, funny, irreverent, and adventurous...all of my favorite things in an eatery. We were NOT disappointed! A basket of warm monkey bread was waiting at the table, along with a very sweet and talented waitress named Nicole. My meal started with a cucumber infused bloody Mary with an Old Bay rim and a crispy bacon strip for a stirrer, and it only got more amazing from there. 'Sunny Side of the Bay' was a giant lump crab cake served on a bed of chorizo and potato hash with a sunny side up egg (I opted for an over easy instead). The man and kid had massive and equally amazing pancakes with generous mugs of Mexican coffee. My goodness. Seriously, one of the top ten best meals of my life.
