We were not able to book a table for dinner so we arrived at 5:30pm as it opened. We got a table for 1:30mins time slot. It was quite busy and the service wasn't quick so we didn't have time to have pudding. However the food we had was delicious. Liver paté to start then mussels or beef.

Had the best beef with potatoes I ever had. Goat cheese salad and smoked salmon were amazing. Excellent and efficient service !

First time here at Coast and we weren't disappointed. The place was packed to the rafters and the earlier reviews tell you it's a local favourite.
We had mains & dessert and a few glasses of wine 🍷 and the bill was £90. My fillet steak was wonderful and my friends haunch of venison was equally delicious. Desserts were ok too...nothing amazing but sweet and sticky (what's not to love).
Service was attentive but relaxed. My only thought on what could be better would be the interior design. It's fine...but if you ask yourself what a restaurant called Coast would look like before you visited....it wouldn't be brown green walls, wooden slats and a couple of average art pieces. This didn't spoil the experience one bit but if I was the owner, I'd turn up the gas on the pudds & get someone on the interiors to freshen it up with a modern brighter look.

Staff were attentive and the food was excellent. I had scallops for my starter. They were seared perfectly and so sweet. For the main I had the halibut and risotto, also perfectly cooked.
The one thing that was out of place was the bread basket. There were two pieces of bread: one white and one brown, but they felt like they could have come from a low quality supermarket loaf. I was expecting something more artisanal, like sourdough or baguette.

One of the best restaurants we have had dinner during our trip in Scotland. Fresh ingredients, very good cooking, fair price. We tried to get back to this restaurants another day but had no booking. If you are in Oban and you like sea food. This is the one to go.

I’ve been there with friends, we shared three starters - grilled langoustines, scallops & bacon and the salmon - whereas I had the lamb rump as main.
The starters were delicious, a special call out goes to the scallops with bacon, they were the highlight of the dinner by far.
The lamb was also good, the meat and the sides were both tasty.

We visited here while of holiday for a birthday dinner.
The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. It certainly feels like a family business with lots of passion.
The food choice is good, especially if you don't like seafood.
The meal was delicious and good sized portions for they prices.
I would highly recommend a visit here as you won't need disappointed.

The langoustines were so good that we had a second serve.
The triple fried chips were yummy
Hats off to the Chef, who is also the owner and his Better Half who is a great restaurant Manager.
