Burchfield's Restaurant

An in-hotel restaurant off of Illinois Ave. Double tree by Hilton. It is really inexpensive but you get what you pay for. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they go above and beyond. If you don't feel like driving off site, this would do. For the non pretentious crowd though. I had the shrimp and grits (would not recommend) and the chicken marsala. The bar is where it's at!

Ok so I went here tonight, wasn't impressed. Now Megan was awesome! But the food? Yeah no. Ordered a rare steak that came out blue rare, literally had the cook and his "manager" come out to tell me it was cooked correctly and that hes been doing this for 41 years smfh. I don't think so scooter! I could have gone to McDonald's and got this disappointed honestly. Yes they tried to make another steak, but why? I'm currently trying to eat a bland steak and get out! But much kudos to Megan! Not really the servers job to cover for the cooks! No I actually paid for both steaks and yes the appetizer was covered.

The food was good and our server was great. That said, the fruit flies were terrible near the bar. We asked for a different table away from the bar but there were still a lot of fruit flies. We won't be going back until we hear the situation has been cleaned up. Not a memorable 30th anniversary dinner.
