Yo! Nottingham

Visited Yo Sushi on Saturday and even though it was busy the staff were still very attentive and friendly! We got chatting to the chef Brendan while he was making our food and he had such great customer service, giving really good menu suggestions and serving us with a smile. No request was too much of a bother for him and he really went the extra mile to make our experience a positive one even though he was busy with orders which as a customer is just great to see! Thanks so much to all the team for a great experience!

My fave place to go with my friend - been going frequently since 2017 (when I moved here, and a few times before that - when visiting it). Great vibes and staff and food and seating booths, and the stool seating isn't too bad as far as stools go. Tons of Vegan options, friendly, helpful staff, fun to talk to if you stay there on your own for a bit after your friend needs to go. Just an all round good place to be!

I wasn't prepared for amazing dishes or cheap food. And must admit it wasn't. Just small dishes of sushi food put on a belt and left for me which colour of plate to pick up. Different colour of plate means different price and different sort of sushi. A member of staff explained me that and left with menu card. Food really tasty but too expensive.

Popped into the Nottingham restaurant having not been since pre-Covid and I found the staff to be pleasant, the food tasty and fresh, and the new ordering system very simple to use. If you’re unsure from other reviews if this store is no longer up to scratch, don’t be concerned. My friend and I had a lovely time (we visited on a Tuesday at lunchtime), and I’d definitely go back.

Probably one of the best Yo's I've been to. The staff are all really friendly, food is great and the space doesn't feel too cramped. The only downside is that I do not like the new ordering system. There was something fun about the conveyer belt showing food, because it meant picking food you thought looked good but wouldn't necessarily choose. Plus it makes the service seem a lot slower because you can't grab something whilst waiting for your ordered food. Not Notts Yo's fault, but feedback for Yo! itself.

This was my first time back at Yo Sushi since before the pandemic. Whilst the menu seems greatly reduced, the food is still nice. I enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken, which was spicy but super sweet. The takoyaki were decent as were the Korean chicken gyoza. I am disappointed that there's no longer tamago nigiri though!
