St Giles House Restaurant

I was taken here for drinks for my husband's birthday by friends. What a beautiful place! Excellent service and amazing cocktails!! We sat outside, and though it's in the heart of the city, it's so quiet! The place was extremely well maintained, from the lobby to the bar area to the toilets. Will definitely make plans to come here again!

The rooms were great! Massive bathrooms too. One of our rooms had a nice balcony. Service at the check in desk: not good at all. Rude. Slow. The breakfast was appalling. My bread was ridden with water from the failed poached eggs. It was pure mush. I actually gagged when eating. The poached eggs were solid. Salmon was cheap and full of bones. Also the bread was poor quality, it was not sourdough or a bloomer it was very weird. Good hotel rooms though, expensive for what they are but good location and all. Purely for the location and a little bit of luxury I would however stay here again and just go out for breakfast. I DO NOT recommend dining here. Ever.

After checking into a hotel local to this and finding it dirty we left. Dylan at St Giles House Hotel was so helpful in getting us checked in to a lovely junior suite. Dylan was such a happy and polite person who couldn't have been more helpful. The Suite was lovely along with the bathroom with a large rolltop bath. Dylan then proceeded to get us an iron and iron board within a few minutes of us calling reception to find how to get one. Breakfast was lovely and all staff were very helpful and polite. Hotel in any of the areas we passed through and used were very clean and tidy. Great location and parking was at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Norwich.

Had a lovely stay here. Had a previous trip that wasn’t perfect, but Liza was very understanding and this time it truly was brilliant. The hotel rooms are lovely and clean and the bar was nice. I was surprised by lack of people sitting outside in their bar area as it was decorated well and good value, especially as a pre dinner drink! Breakfast was very tasty and we paid the small extra to have it sent to our room, definitely worth while! Ignore sat navs for parking, either ask at the reception or use google maps and plan your route before going. Right next to town, clean rooms, great breakfast, lovely bar. Would recommended to family and friends.

What a perfect example of a Georgian hotel based in the heart of Norwich city centre. Boasting its splendour from days gone by. Now under new ownership, Liza and her team intend to renovate it in the coming months, which will just enhance the property and facilities further. My wife and I spent last night in the hotel, and from the moment we walked through the door, we was welcomed with a smile, and made to feel very special. For our short stay, nothing was too much trouble, and being perfectly located in the city centre, made it the perfect base for our evening out. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, I had the full English. My wife had eggs Benedict, which was cooked to perfection. There is plenty of choice on offer, if you preferred something else. I look forward to returning again in the new year, and also look forward to seeing the improvements which have been made. For the location and price. It’s very reasonable indeed. Thank you for a great stay.

We had a lovely stay in the Georgian suite. Good cooked breakfast next morning with plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are looking a little tired but they are cleaned properly, the dinning area could have been cleaner in the morning for breakfast though. We was told there will be some renovations in the new year so we are both looking forward to staying again and to see what has been done. It is a fabulous building in a perfect location for the centre of Norwich. This hotel could be amazing with some pennies spent and the right design team. We like staying here as the hotel has a nice feel to it
