Applebee's

Stopped in for an early lunch. Even though they were already busy around 11:30 on a Sunday morning, we were seated fairly quickly. The young man who waited on us was very efficient, polite, and provided excellent customer service throughout the meal. The food and beverages were all fantastic - 2 of us had Dragon Fruit Lemonade , 1 had Dr. Pepper. Highly recommend this establishment if you are in Newton, KS.

Restaurant isn't full yet had long wait time, and everyone is acting rushed? Hostess couldn't find seat for us in half empty restaurant. No idea if short staffed or what. Waiter said friend couldn't substitute beef for chicken on the quesadilla burger, even though he's done it multiple times. Food came out right at least. Man who gave us our food was really nice.

I feel that as a fellow Applebee's (San diego, CA) employee, I have room to speak on this. I've given them a lot of tips and money for inadequate service, disrespect, an disregard. Had a bartender literally give me a dirty glass and had one manager refuse to talk to me about it. Second manager lied and said she was there and I said look at the glass, u knowingly let her pour my beer in that. It had black around the top of glass and on the side. They still made me pay for that too. But I still politely left a tip and smile anyway. So in my opinion they are not fit to honor customers with a satisfactory experience. You will not be seen as anything but a dollar sign here!!!

Food is good when you get it. Family waited for a LONG time. Well Over an hour. Then we asked for mayo three times to three different people and it was forgotten each time. Also we were told that there was no extra charge for certain substitutions and were charged extra. We can understand an up charge for some things but not more than what the menu says. They may be understaffed as there are now hiring signs everywhere. Restaurant and bathrooms rather clean. Distancing and masks is good.
