When in the east coast 🐟 Aji Sushi Abt 📍Newton , Boston Gotta have some good uni and salmon roe. Chunks of goodies at a fairly reasonable price. Pretty fresh too Craved sushi and got some take out with friends. It took just 15mins from calling to pickup. Got the Sushi Deluxe for $20, comes with a miso soup and salad. Also ordered uni, tobiko, and salmon roe as extras. I liked the deluxe set that came with a California roll + salmon, Hamachi, tuna, unagi (eel), shrimp. Good, not great overall. Dressings both above and below the tuna overwhelmed the fish in the Special Tuna Salad. Fish served with Chirashi was fresh and portions were satisfying, but the sushi rice was just a disappointment. Table service at 6 PM was slow with a busy dining room. Noise levels were moderate.

Just moved to the area and ordered from here because it is the closest - little did I know it would be truly phenomenal sushi. Their special rolls are so creative, and they play with flavors and textures I have never encountered before. You know its a great sushi place because both their complex rolls and their more basic ones are out of this world good. Recommend the princess role, the phoenix, the spicy crispy mango tuna maki, and the aji special salmon torch maki -- all terrific

It could be a very decent one but one item just made me so disappointed. The non-traditional rolls tasted pretty good. However, the pork katsu curry failed so bad to me. Actually, the pork katsu itself was also pretty good. However, the curry is what make the whole thing jump off the cliff. It is house made which can be a good thing. The taste of the curry sauce was so off from the normal taste of Japanese curry. The salad was prepared in a bit sloppy way as well. The lettuce leave pieces were still too big.
