Pub 42

The staff was great. Millionaire burger was delicious, worth a try. The Prime Rib sandwich yum. Reuben sliders, the sauerkraut was dry, need more sauce too. But pretzel buns yummy. Fish & Chips was good but basic. I did hear the meatloaf was really really good, but we did not get to try that. Millionaire Burger was recommended as #1 choice to try.

Went here Easter weekend with our son and really enjoyed the stop. It was very busy, so we at first didn't think we had time to stay - but they ended up finding us a table to eat at the bar. The tap beer, drink and food selections were good and the place was very lively - with some great country music playing in the background. We started with an order of popovers since we hadn't had any for a while and absolutely loved the butter that came with them. We ended up all ordering the Fish Special for Friday after hearing that it was walleye (see picture) and all really liked the meal. I had my first experience at Pub 42, and I'm not sure that I would go back. We got seated right away at noon on a Sunday, which was nice, but although there weren't many people there, the service was really slow. Also, I ordered the prime rib sandwich expecting it to be like a French dip, but it didn't come with any au jus, and it was incredibly spicy. There should be a symbol next to it on the menu indicating that it's that spicy! It was also very hot in the restaurant (in January). So much so that it was uncomfortable. There weren't too many appealing options on the menu.

Huge fan. I always get a brussel sprout app at every restaurant I go to, and these are real good. They are heavy on the balsamic vinegar, so they get a bit winky as you reach the dredge, but man... mixed with the bacon, it's so worth it. Great options for seating inside and out. Wait staff is so so friendly. Friendlier than I've experienced most places recently.

I placed an order through DoorDash to pick the food up from the store rather than it be delivered. I arrived about 45 minutes after the app notified me that the order was ready. When I arrived I was told that the order was already made and had to be given away to somebody picking up from DoorDash (I’m not sure how they were given my order when I was the only one who knew the order would’ve been ready). When I spoke to the the manager he repeated what I was already told and proceeded to tell me “I guess we can make you another one on the fly)… After I got home and took a bite out of the burger that I thought was well done I looked down and this is what I saw.

Disclaimer: I've only recently had their food through door dash so it would probably be better in the restaurant. Regardless, I really enjoyed the food. The wings especially were great. The standard buffalo flavor was not too spicy and the wings themselves were HUGE . The basic portion size was very generous. We both had burgers, mine a California style And hers with bacon and blue cheese. Both were cooked well and fantastically tasty. The fries were good too. They must b amazing when they're fresh because even delivered they were still hot and crispy.
