Excellent. A wonderful place. A little oasis of pastry heaven. The decor is stylish and contemporary. The service is nice and friendly. The pastry is old world excellent. They make good coffee which we enjoyed. They also have sweetbreads and other bread goods. It is open until 8 p.m. every night for after dinner desserts or dates.

I ordered my Dad’s 60th birthday cake from Chocolate E Pimenta, because it was close to the event location. When I went to pick up the cake instead of it being gold, it was brown. The colors were completely dull. We wanted strawberry filling, thinking there would be real strawberry’s in the middle. No, not at all. Instead it was strawberry jam. The cake tasted like straight boxed cake. The top tear was chocolate marble with cream filling, which tasted nasty. We basically wasted $180 for nothing. I spoke to the owner’s daughter. She was RUDE and unprofessional. The owners daughter told me, the cake is a best seller, that she has never had a complaint. That me not liking the cake was a personal preference, after telling her I was a sweets fanatic and only had two bites of the cake. I asked around to guests, who did not like the cake. There was A LOT of cake left over. My entire family commented on how nasty the cake tasted, and the horrible after taste. I indicated this too the owners daughter. She kept yelling at me that it’s a personal preference, she is not refunding me anything. That I can bad mouth the bakery, all I want, but they have repeat customers. PLEASE save yourself the trouble, because it’s not worth your money or time. I would NOT EVER recommend this place. No level of professionalism.
