Nice cafe run by a lovely French couple. They specialise in savoury galettes and sweet crepes and also make great coffee.
Low profile place just out of the town centre, well worth a visit. Changing hands November 23 so hopefully it keeps up the quality.

Service is great, staff are friendly.
Gallette is tasty, I like the buckwheat flavour.
Topping on the special gallette lacked flavour, could do with a bit more sauce.
Ambient can be very noisy. The floor is concrete so sound travels everywhere.

Now, the decor might unassuming, but the food was simply astounding. Obviously a place where they taste and care about the food they sell. The galettes were better than I've had anywhere, and the gluten-free chocolate praline cake was simply extraordinary.

Wow, fabulous smoked salmon and avocado buckwheat crepe. Gluten free to boot (but not celiac). And, a wonderful crepe (not gluten-free) with chocolate sauce.

The best brunch you can have! Excellent coffees! You must try the Mocca with vanilla ice cream. We have had a great time. They also do fabulous meals for take away. And the French couple is so lovely.

Very friendly owner. We are from Shanghai. We ordered a sweet crepe and a savory crepe, both were delicious. Thank you give us a beautiful morning.

Had the galette for brunch which was spot on! J'étais en Bretagne un petit moment! Then we took the also ridiculously delicious Kouign Amann to Cable Bay. Day well spent, will definitely be coming back! Merci beaucoup!

If I could, Rustic Cuisine would get 6 stars. The food and coffee was top notch, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. If I lived in Nelson, I would be a regular here without a doubt.
