The food was great and the menu and atmosphere was charming. Pretty date spot! This is my second time here and again the staff are very welcoming and helpful. I love their decorations! It was really pretty in December. They have a pig on the wall that they dress up and that’s pretty funny. Great food and $$ prices (average for Downtown Naperville. Great vegetarian burger, mac and cheese, and magic mushroom burger! Amazing farm to table food.

Went here for a late lunch and there was place to sit in a pretty dining area. All the staff were sweet and overheard that everything on the menu is made from scratch so even when one of the desserts we wanted wasn’t available. It wasn’t even a bummer. Everything tastes great and would come again anyway. And the dishes we were served on were so cute. All for an affordable price and cater to my partners vegetarian diet.

We went here for a day date for lunch and we enjoyed cocktails, the burrata appetizer, a short rib entree and the chicken and waffles. The portions were more than enough for us to eat and everything was delicious. We look forward to going back again as the menu changes with what's local and available.

I came for my birthday and chose this restaurant. I loved the ambience of this place, it was very lovely. Our server was awesome and accommodated us very well. The skirt steak was amazing, although the Brussel sprouts were on the salty side and the rice was extremely citrusy. I would definitely come back to give the other dishes a try.

The first time I tried Allegory was in late Dec 2021 and ordered their shrimp & grits and it was the optimal balance of shrimp (5) to grits. I recently ordered the shrimp & grits again in late June 2022 but this time during dinner (to-go) but was not made aware that there was going to be an additional 4 shrimp to the dinner portion with a moderate price upcharge. I still enjoyed the shrimp & grits but the blackened seasoning this time around was on the more salty side, but still enjoyable. However, I felt that there should have been just a bit more grits added with the now 9 pieces of shrimp. One thing I do have to say is that the grits was on-point. It was creamy and firm, the way I enjoy them. Ill definitely be back but I might suggest that if additional shrimp is added, the host just mention that cause I believe the 5 shrimp is plenty (sometimes less is better). Still a wonderful farm-to-table experience from one who lives in the city.

Wonderful restaurant and excellent food, however I brought my 84 year old blind grandmother to dinner here ate our entire meal and while ordering dessert was told there are no dogs allowed. Told them it was a service animal and was asked to show ID. That is completely understandable however I found it completely insulating and unprofessional to be asked this after eating our meal and while having our dessert. How insulating to be harrased like that. What were you going to kick me out if it wasn't a service animal or make my grandmother stand outside?? Last time I will be back.
