Such a great coffee shop! We came in today and the owners remembered our daughter and her order from her last visit! She thought that was so special! The Honey Lavender Latte is amazing!! Such a gem!

Such a great vibe with delicious drinks and food! The seating area is so much bigger than it looks from the street since the building has 2 large rooms in the back. Lots of places to sit and relax, colorful and fun decorating, and delicious options for teas, coffees and breakfast & lunch options. Under recent new management and the owners are delightful!

Great coffee. But I really wish they opened at 8 on Saturday. I have to start work just before they open. They'd probably get a ton of business when soccer season is in if they opened before 9 cause that's when the games are starting!

We absolutely love this little coffee shop. Baristas are wonderful, the coffee is fantastic and the baked oatmeal is wonderful. We wanted to try the quiche but they were all out. Can't wait to visit again. #Smallbusinesssaturdays

What a great place! I came across it waiting for my to finish her dentist appointment. I was heading to Dunkin and thought local would be way better and I was right! Super friendly staff, the quiches were delicious and the coffee is great! Due to Covid you can get curbside pick up or walk in and wait outside for them to bring you your order. I highly recommend this cute coffee shop. The pastries looked delicious too :)

Absolutely delightful cafe with great atmosphere!
The owners are wonderful and the food is delicious. I enjoyed an incredible, soft and fresh English muffin and a delicious hot chocolate; the chai latte is also excellent.
We will definitely be returning!

I have picked up coffee here, and sweets to go and have eaten-in as well. The place is just great in and of itself. Super good feel and vibe. Coffee and pastries top shelf to boot. Add it all together and BOOM - superb spot. Putting this on my list as best coffee in town and closest to home. Both of them move HIGHER GROUNDS CAFE above Starbucks while living or working at home!!! Stop in if you are in town. You’ll agree!

I haven't been to Higher Grounds Cafe in a little while, but the service and the food and the atmosphere are as excellent as always, these ladies put their heart and soul into every dish and coffee that they serve!! Two thumbs way up, and five stars shining bright for Higher Grounds Cafe!!

I really like higher grounds. Nice place to meet people in MJ...centrally located in town and a real gem for this lovely town. There are always a few things on the menu but the place is primarily a coffee shop. There's three different seating areas inside and two sitting areas outside that include a garden and street view. The reason for four stars instead if five is that I always need to remember to bring cash when I go since they do not accept credit or debit cards. I bet they change that eventually.

Decent coffee shop. Owners are polite and businesslike. Would be 5 stars except they only take cash. I appreciate everything that a cash only business implies, but it’s not really practical in this day and age. I had to break my ‘emergency’ $20.00 bill in order to buy a coffee and a wrap. Now I’m walking around with a very weird experience - physical coins jingling around in my pocket!
