Diamond Bakery

One of the best HK bakeries in town. Whether you’re a Hongkonger or not, you can enjoy a genuine taste of Hong Kong food and bakery. They are well mannered and have good English communication skills. Diamond Bakery has a variety of good bakery. My favorites are Bolo Bao, translated as a pineapple bun, and Dan Tat, translated as an egg tart, drinking with Lai Cha, translated as Hong Kong-style milk tea. This is one of the best combinations to fully and thoroughly enjoy the essence of Hong Kong food/bakery. Please visit and you won’t get disappointed. I have been going to this bakery for years, but have decided that they simply can not be trusted. I will no longer order from them. Simply because I am tired of being lied to. I normally order custom cakes with custard and strawberry filling. They would happily take the order and charge me an extra $10.00-15.00 for the custard. BUT they haven’t delivered the last five times! I assume to cut costs, they omit the custard and fill it up with whip cream- by the time I find out, it’s too late, the cake has been cut into and my guests need to be served. Truly disappointing. Would not recommend.

Terrible custom service. The lady in the front was really rude and it’s needed to inform the lady’s about the use of cards. I didn’t bring my ID And I don’t have ID pictures in my phone ( and I don’t have to) she wanted me to show my bank application, I won’t show how much money I have. I never denied my PIN number.... it was just $7.50 plus $0.50 cent for using card. I’ll never come back..... there are many and much better bakeries in Monterey Park.
