Visited this local spot for breakfast. We ordered the fried chicken with gravy and biscuits as well as pancakes with cinnamon cream cheese icing. The chicken was excellent and added balance to the more bland gravy and biscuits. The pancakes were also good, I would have preferred a drizzle of the icing instead of the drenched presentation or to just apply it myself. No knock on flavors, but a bit better presentation. Would give this a 5 rating. Try it out and support small business!

😋 The Salmon was actually delicious, I'll start there. It was suppose to be blackened but lacked blackening season but was still good. ➡The rice was luke warm, ➡the onion rings were cold, ➡the broccoli casserole was decent. However, very disappointed in the cornbread! It was very cold and extremely dry with no taste, it was not sweet at all. Also, it had a rubbery texture as if it was old or rewarmed in a microwave. 😃 The staff is incredibly friendly. ✔The inside was clean and they do wipe down prior to seating you.

Hands down the best breakfast and lunch you can get in Monroe. Trust me, I’ve been to every breakfast restaurant in the area searching for the best biscuits and gravy. Palace is the only place where the gravy doesn’t taste like it has 8lbs of salt in it. I can only assume the gravy is fresh due to this or they just understand a pound of salt isn’t needed when you add equally salted meat into the gravy. I’ve never had a bad meal here and my parents actively come from Myrtle beach to eat here with us. The place is always packed so if you’re looking for a place with not a lot of people make sure to get here at opening hours.
