This is a really cool place to have a meal! The decor is like the inside of an old fashioned auto repair shop. In fact, some of the booths are contained within actual bodies of old 50s automobiles! The food is fantastic, especially the steak special they have on Sundays (at the time I wrote this, it was $14.99). Well worth your while to stop in. Be careful: you may find yourself coming back again. 🤗

Pete's Garage is one of my favorite restaurants in Monroe. I've been going here for years, my mom took my sister and I her growing up and now I take my kids. The decor is awesome, and the hollowed out 50s cars turned booths are always a favorite for the kids. Food is usually pretty good, and prices are average. Definitely check it out!

We used to go there frequently my family and I, but after one experience I never went back!! Ordered wings (which I ordered almost every time I would go there with out issue) and the inside of a couple were cold still so I asked the waitress if she could have them cooked a little longer (politely might I add) and she did…how ever shortly after she took the food back a man came out to our table yelling and telling us how he has been cooking wings for many years and knows how to cook a wing and stormed off. When the waitress brought our wings back I asked her if I was rude to her in any way about the wings and she replied no. I said because I am not sure why a man came out yelling at us about them I didn't want free food, I didn't want money off just my wings cooked a little longer. The waitress said the man was the owner of the restaurant!!! If that is how a owner treats his paying customers over some chicken wings then I refuse to give him my business and neither will my family and friends.

Tried to eat lunch here today with my mom and son after driving 45 mins to get here. Jackie our waitress let us sit at our table an hour, before I asked her about our food. She came back and told us, it would be right out. Five minutes passes, no food- all while we are seeing large tables of men get their food after coming in after us. The second time I asked our waitress, she yelled back into the kitchen saying “bring that tray out here” there’s no telling how long it was sitting there. I told her never mind and we decided to leave. She never even apologized for wasting our time!!! Terrible experience!! I wanted to talk to a manger, but was told she is the manager! She’s rude. Will not return

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got the chance for lunch! I thought the atmosphere was fun; love the cars inside - so unique and private while dining. The service was good, the food was fantastic...check out the Reuben and perfectly made onion rings! Delicious! The only negative thing I would say is the 3% charge to use a credit card. Otherwise, I will be back. With cash!!
