Devil's Advocate

I realize they are starting up again and perhaps understaffed but they under-performed last night. On the positive side the attitude of the staff was great. The drinks were string and the restaurant interior was great. I could see how this would be a great place for a romantic dinner. The menu was underwhelming and the dishes my friends and I ordered were good food but not spectacular. The kitchen was humming along well but they were over swamped. Restarting is never graceful. I wish this restaurant the best because it has great potential.

My experience was unfortunately not great. I came at the end of dinner service. Is it the staffing shortage, or maybe Pride? The staff was worn out and seemed to be just getting by. I was seated and noticed the awkward height of all the tables. I almost wanted to sit on the floor rather than bend over a coffee table at knee height to eat. My Shrimp Alfredo came out pretty quickly. Everything was fine until I got a piece of something so hard I was scared I cracked a tooth. My meatball was entirely forgotten. I had finished my beverages and food and just waited. Tables around me had emptied out but not yet been bussed. My server, lovely gal that she is, was very pleasant as she tried to give me my bill with the meatball. Turns out it was out of stock. She offered a dessert on the house which was generous but I declined. She refilled my beverages, and I paid shortly thereafter. Kind of a bummer of a meal with the low tables, busy staff, 86'd item, and hard piece. It could be worth another try.
