Denny's

This Denny's was a unique experience. They had 1 waitress, but to supplement her, they had a robot that they used to bring you the food you ordered. The only reason for the 3 stars was because we were seated next to other people even though social-distancing compliant seating was available elsewhere. The service was INCREDIBLY slow and even though we were told it would be, it was unnecessarily slow. The restaurant was not that busy and we still waited 10 minutes before we were seated only to be told it was going to be another 10 minutes until our order could be taken (was more like 30, but eh...) The food was fine, but locating the entrance to the parking lot was not trivial either. If you go here, you'll see what I mean. Overall it was a good experience and the robot was a good touch for being in Silicone Valley.

Waited about 10 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was pretty much empty at 11 PM. The hostess/server was very nice and quick bringing us our drinks. They bring your food out on a robot though which was...unsettling and just a bit weird. However as fine as the experience was, when we went to pay a man who took out payment decided it was his job to comment and ask me about the fact that I left no tip on the card payment. I try to always leave cash for a tip because it's better for the employees and in this instance we left cash at the table. No matter your stance on tipping in the U.S I think it's sososo rude to just call someone out like that for not putting it on the card. I was so angry I wanted to go back to the table and pick up what I had left but it wouldn't have been fair to the lovely lady who served us while we were there.
