Heirloom Restaurant

Located in historic downtown Midway, this restaurant is a nice find for an out of the way dining experience that is too far from Lexington - only about 20-25 minutes drive. The food and service are both excellent. We had the cream of asparagus soup and spinach salad with warm bacon dressing to start. The salad was large enough to share and very good. Soup very good also. We had the ricotta dumplings and the fried chicken as entrees. Both were excellent, and arrived at the table hot and fresh. The only downside was the sound level- it was very loud the night that we visited. Overall it's a winner.

Going out and picking a spot for an anniversary is really tough sometimes and I got this recommendation from someone I look up to. I couldn't be any happier. The service was wonderful, their drink selection is on par with the quality of the food. What you see pictured is the escargot, beef filet, and squid ink bucatini. Excellent from start to finish.

Recently had lunch there on a Saturday. Pleasant, comfortable restaurant, nicely decorated. Accoustics are good meaning you can have a quiet conversation even when it's crowded. Food was very good, especially the creme brulee for desert. Waitstaff did an excellent job. Best service we've experienced anywhere. We plan to return.

We visited Heirloom for the first time during this pandemic and it exceeded expectations even in a crazy time! Everyone was respectfully adhering to guidelines and they were delightful in the midst of it all. The service was incredible and the food was equally amazing. Friends had always recommended Heirloom and they absolutely lived up to the well-deserved hype. I heartily recommend. We sat outside on an absolutely perfect evening and enjoyed the best salad we’ve ever enjoyed and entrees that showed off Kentucky cuisine! Thanks Heirloom!
